Just caught the end of a question programme the subject was gay marriage ...
Obviously those who support it and those who dont...
Personally i cannot for the life of me understand why not!?
Some people were saying civil partnership isnt enough and they should have full

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.That was exactly my point actually Woofgang, I think you misunderstood slightly what i was getting at- a religion can make it's own rules for those who choose to be members but it has NO RIGHT to make a widersweeping comment on what other people can do, never mind about be involved in any governmental decisionmaking process on the subject more generally.

Why should it be respected? What right does religion have to say that people aren't free to marry whomsoever they choose? People can believe as they want to believe, but that doesn't give them the right to demand that others respect those beliefs, and neither does it give them the right to impose those beliefs on others. Religion does not hold a monopoly on marriage - thank goodness!
