Hi everyone
Just found this thread and I'm really pleased that there are others like myself who need an extra bit of support even though I'm a member of a slimming club. I'm feeling really positive at the moment, just come back from holiday and only gained 1.5lbs in a fortnight. It's my birthday tomorrow and so it's a good time to make a fresh start. I'm hoping for lots of willpower, a positive mental attitude and lots of support for my birthday. Looking forward to joining you all and losing some weight along the way. :)
Just got back from weigh in and have lost 2lbs! Stuck to the diet straight after last weigh in so I enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch out with absolutely no compromise on anything indulgent, and had lunch out today. Been doing the Wii nearly every day as well, plus a bit of gardening. Tomorrow evening is a work leaving do, and Saturday up to London for the evening, so I just need to be extra careful the rest of the time, and hopefully will get a good result next week too. Feeling very positive now so need to remember this whenever the biscuits beckon!
Welcome Kacee that's what we are here for to try and give others some advice as not all diets works for everyone. I swear by a glass of unsweetened grapefriut juice every morning as this helps to break down fat. Not everone can take it with certain medication. Also plan your weeks menus and write everything down. Good luck for next week.

Sheemamf well done. hope you have a nice time up London and remember you can have a treat so keep your weekend for that and get back to your plan on Monday. Biscuits are my downfall I don't buy them but when my grandson is here as he will be a lot during the school holidays I will have to buy them so I really have to be good the next 6 weeks.
Welcome Kacee and Happy Birthday. Have a lovely day with maybe a little indulgent treat but without ruining all your good work so far.
Wendilla, can I just ask, does lemon juice in the morning to the same as grapefruit juice?
Hi Tenrec I have not tried it myself but if you google lemon juice there is a bit of reading about it. Quite interesting but would have to be taken without the added sugar.
I have been having lemon juice in hot water first thing every morning. I've been doing it for a few weeks and it's helping me with my sweet tooth. Sometimes things are tasting too sweet for me and it puts me off them. For example, I had a chocolate pudding at a restaurant the other day, it was called chocolate lumpy bumpy cake, and I had to leave most of it because I couldn't stand the sweetness of it.
Thanks Wendilla and Notafish. I tried lemon juice in water (no sugar) and it tasted disgusting, but I persevered for about a week. Maybe I''l have another go.
^ I'll
I put just one slice of lemon in and squeeze it a bit. I don't have it too lemony, and I don't put sugar in. As you get used to the taste you'll be less inclined to like sweet things, hopefully.
Try Googling: foods/fruits that break down fat. I just learned quite a lot from the different websites that came up.
Morning all and welcome Kacee,

I've lost 2lbs this week so very pleased :o)
Morning. Good for you. I'm wondering where I'll end up next Wednesday. Scales taunting me at the moment, one day below the stone milestone I dipped under, the next back up at it. Scales can be so cruel.
They can be O_G. The main thing is to work out your food intake and how many calories you're eating. I've been using a website to calculate all the calories I've eaten this week and I've always kept below 1,500 per day. It is very helpful.
Just read my last post and have to admit that the biscuits got the upper hand last evening. Only richtea, but it's the thought that counts! I am eating a lot of fresh fruit and salads, has anyone got an answer for the inevitable gusts which follow?
HI SHEENAMF that will be my downfall this week .I have my grandson here in the week during school holidays so I will have to hide the biscuit tin from me lol.
Yes, have I done something wrong?
Box tops, how did I manage toget my message in the wrong place and how do I get it back over here please?
Good Morning All, Down 1 pound so very pleased. I've been on lots of chicken this week and it paid off despite a small pizza on Sunday with lo fat cheese.
Hope to hear good news from all of you. Onwards and downwards......
Morning all. You and I clear of the naughty step this week and hope to keep it that way. Down 1 1/2 lbs. Will have to be careful for next few weeks with grandson being here a few days every week. But I have a good start as he is away on holiday till next week.
SPOTIT3 just copy and paste it on here.
