Well done everyone, your posts make great reading this evening.

I'm really struggling still and have been for 4/5 weeks now. I have a very long way to go and am working hard but can't seem to shift anymore at the moment. I've bought bags and bags of fruit and veg, rice cakes, soups, light diary products and can't think of anything naughty I've eaten this week but nevertheless I've remained the same again. I might have to start writing a food diary again just to make sure I'm not fooling myself about anything.
Food dairy sounds like a good idea, maidup. Hopefully things will start moving for you soon.
Oh poor you maidup......this happens to us all along the way so don't think you aren't alone. What I have just started doing again is making a menu list for a week at a time and shopping after that....this includes 2 snacks a day things. I find it gives me a freedom of having to think of food all the time...it's down there in black and white and I don't let myself wander from it. A food diary is good too.
We do tend to loose heart when we have been doing this for a longer period and start to think....well I will "just" have this as a "treat". Beware of those two words JUST and TREAT. They are bad words for us.

I hope this will help you feel better about everything.
CORRECTION: I meant to say.....don't think you are alone.....
Very good advice Xstitcher. If I don't plan my shopping in advance and plan meals for the week I don't seem to lose and that extra portion of the wrong kind slips in.
Morning everyone. I've managed to lose another 2lb this week.
Maidup, I find that keeping a food diary helps me. It wouldn't suit everyone, but I enter everything I eat - good or bad- and find that it helps me to see where I'm going off course.
I've also started to come on to read this thread when I'm tempted to eat, as all the tips and advice really help and by the time I've read a bit I've decided that it's not worth jeopardising all my hard work.
Good luck for next week everyone. :)
Well done Kacee . Yes I read these posts in between the week too. Sometimes the devil wins no matter how much I try to resist.
Good idea about coming here and reading the posts when temptation is getting to you.....
Thanks all, and good advice all round. I'm still determined and will not give up, after all, if I can just get going again I could still make a significant difference before Christmas.
Good Point Kacee, have just been reading back through the last few posts. Only managed half off last week, and may miss SW tomorrow evening, but I am now into the weight I have been carrying for the best part of 10 years and would really like to lose another half a stone before Christmas. When I get stuck I have tried eating very similar food to my normal routine, but changing the time of day, so if possible having the main meal at lunch instead of the evening. it may work for you... Good luck this week everyone,
I am DREADING tomorrows weigh in.

Well done Sheemamf. Keep up the good work.
I've maintained this month - aim to lose another 4 lbs before Christmas. I will if I stop eating Hallowe'en cake :-( (when it's gone, it's gone, is my theory)
That's what I say too Boxtops and if I am in a really good healthy eating mood I will actually through out remaining cake to the outside birds.
But thinking about it why do I buy it in the first place?
You are not the only one dreading tomorrow's weigh-in, Wendilla. I have been really bad this week, out for a meal on Friday night - profiteroles for sweet - and out for coffee and scones twice.
I think I'm going to be on the naughty step too. I blame it on the clocks going back - these dark evenings just make me crave comfort food. God, I wish I could view celery as comfort food........
I've been bad too.......peanuts in the shell..............
Morning everyone and wishing you all a successful weigh in this monring.
With the colder weather I have found it more difficult this week but I have managed a small shift of 1/2lb.
My successes were jacket potatoes (but avoid the butter and cheese!) soups and a move to Frylight to allow myself a few roast potatoes at the weekend. My weeknesses were a brie and walnut sandwich yesterday - whatever made me eat that?!! and a puff pastry savoury slice at the weekend.

What were your successes this week?
Well done on your loss despite your delicious sins maidup. I KNOW that today is Wed. but for some strange reason I think it is Tuesday so now I must wait until tomorrow to weigh myself as I have had breakfast now. Aargh.
My sins this week
Dinner out and pudding was honeycomb and icecream in a big glass followed by a Bailleys coffee and because I was not driving 2 glasses of wine.

Pizza delivery and shared a bottle of wine.

One scone jam and cream at asda .
Think that says it all. Well it was my Birthday week so that's my excuse
Be back later when I go back upstairs.
