Hello all,

I for one am glad to see the lighter nights and mornings, makes me feel that summer is coming! Who is up for an Easter egg hunt? Of course, you can use chocolate eggs or bags of sweets, but how about those little party favours instead to save the teeth and waistlines?

For those of you without kids just enjoy the long weeknd and maybe let yourselves have a little treat.

And by the way a big WELCOME to all our new users in the last couple of months. Good Luck and well done for taking the first step.

We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.

If I had the weight of another person to lose I'd just try to throw them off, then run away and give them the slip !

Whoops......it's the naughty step for me. I'm up one pound. I have had a very relaxing week if you know what I mean hmmmmm. We had lunch at a place I won't even mention and I suppose the large dollop of sour cream on my jacket potato can also be listed with my other sins. It's the naughty step for me. I hope that I shall be alone!
What is it with this week that puts us on the naughty step? Room for another xstitcher?

I'm pondering, thinking that i couldn't have been so bad to have gained a couple of pounds this week, and then i look back. A couple of "relaxed" lunches, a meal with family at the weekend, and a meal out last night. It all adds up :-(

Now i'm off on a course for a couple of days so i'll pack a bag of fruit and try to be really careful.

For a few weeks now I have stayed the same and because of this I have been playing on it that I will not gain. But got a shock this morning. Got knows where it has been hiding but up 1lb and a half.. Not Good.
I'm very annoyed. Despite having a "good" day yesterday (not to mention a brilliant day the day before) the scales are showing a rise over the last 24 hours of ⅞ lbs, which simply can't be so. So despite expecting a drop this week, now I'm just disincentivised because it's just gone up yet again, 1⅛ lbs for the week. It's just having a laugh.
well there must be something in the air - up a pound this week - the return of the dreaded 13 :(
just weighed myself (i go to doctors once a fortnight for proper weigh in ) and ive lost 2lbs .iv'e got to eat three meals a day now so i can take tablets (diabetes) i think this is helping as i use to eat mainly from lunchtime often missing breakfast .

Maylhh I don't know how much weight you need to lose but just going by your last statement. Have you read further back about Jan. She is not weighing in at the moment as she recently had an op but she has lost in the region of 8 stone. Despite unfortunately losing her husband over a year ago and with her disability she has soldiered on. I know she will be back with us soon as she is a very determined lady. xstitcher and I have tried to keep this posts going for 2 and a half years now . We gain some people we lose some but lots keep coming back. Onwards and Downwards to next week

Well Mallyh you seem to be doing quite well compared the rest of us. You have your doctor and us to help you along and believe me we will. Judging by this weeks weigh in so far it doesn't seem that we are setting a very good example as we all seem to be crowded onto the naughty step with our heads hanging in shame. :-)

old-geezer i wish i could run but i do a fast wobble with a stick lol .I have about 7st to lose so im glad i joined you all to give me a lift and spur me on ,i bought a hoola hoop a while back as many moons ago i was good at it cant get the b@@@@@ thing round more than twice now but i'll keep trying x
Mallyh good luck with the hoola hoop I could never master it even when young. Staying with us will give us gainers a bit more get up and go. I did very well the first year we started but I have been playing around with this stone and need another one off.

Taich don't be disheartened you will get there as you dont want to be over the 13 mark once you got under. The warmer weather will be here soon and that helps. I went back to a few salad meals but the weather got cold again so did not have any more till it warms up .
Maydup not on your own this week but I am sure you will rectify it .
Well done Mallyh. I am really surprised to have lost a pound this week, I'm so chuffed. I even forgot to weigh myself until after breakfast so I'm doubly chuffed. Good luck for next week to those on the naughty step, I know you can do it!
well done marijn (epecially weighing after food) ,thats a good lose as the doc told me 1to 2lbs is good sensible weight to lose a week x
