oooh how exciting!

Im not gonna find out sex of baby, i didnt last time either. I just want the surprise on the day, although i have a feeling its another boy :)

I have classic pooh for my sons nursery and will do something similar in neutral colours for this baby. Hopefully we will have moved by then so my son will get his fire engine bedroom and new baby will have cream or something with a pretty border.

I was initially going to do neutral, probably Pooh but now i know i just want everything blue!
Hi roomster

Congratulations!
I had a boy 16 weeks ago and can't imagine life without him.

We did the all-blue thing too, I know its stereotypical but it just looks so cute. In the nusery we've gone for a sea theme and picked items from several different sets to make up the look we want.

The boy clothes are just gorgeous as well. Now Spencer is in 3-6 months there is so much choice.

Happy choosing. I'm so jealous, I wish I could do it all over again!
i have to agree, blue does look lovely on a boy, i find it nicer than a girl in pink to be honest and there are lovely boys clothes out there.

Everyone seems to be having boys but me! lol

Congrats roomster! Im having another girl so no blue for me which is a shame because I love the silver aeroplane stuff from mothercare! I havent got as far as planning colours for the nursery yet (I always leave everything to the last minute lol) but I did have a dream I had painted it white with lilac woodwork and bedding. Well it looked good in the dream so who knows! lol

Hi pixie_woo, 16 weeks old already? Wow where has that time gone? lol
Hiya roomster, I find out on Tuesday (a week today) although I think it's a boy. Haven't even thought about nursery themes yet, I'm a bit supersticious and I don't want to do anything until after Crimbo at least (due on 03/04/08). I don't even like talking about it to too many people to be honest let alone buying outfits and stuff cos I feel like I will be tempting fate. Maybe I will feel different after next week's scan, or maybe I am just plain weird. Also, I'm not really showing yet - well not to anyone but me and hubby can tell! So I guess once it becomes a bit more obvious it will become more real and then I will be tearing round the baby shops buying everything!

You got any names in mind yet?

I was like that Natalie until i had my 20 week scan and as everything seems fine im starting to get things bit by bit, i intend to do the nursary at xmas as i have 2 weeks off with partner. Like you say, you may feel different after your scan and i bet you will go and buy something straight away!

I didnt start showing until about 2 weeks ago and im now 21 weeks, i literally grew overnight on saturday!

I have got a couple of names in mind, Travis and Keane (has nothing to do with bands by the way!), im not very traditional much to my mums disappointment!

Congrats to everyone else who has posted too! And Red, i agree, im loving the boys clothes out there, got to stop myself from going too crazy as i keep getting told 'everyone will buy you stuff'!
word of advice. If you see lovely boys clothes try and bear in mind the time of year when bubs is born. My son was 9lbs6oz and birth so everyone bought him 3-6 month clothes or 6-9 months. Sadly they bought then in the height of summer and by the time he was that size it was xmas and shorts didnt really suit lol

i wish I understood all of this "baby lark" lol
lol rev. maybe one day you will, its quite simple really.

Youd probably like them more when they get to toddler stage, my son was running around upstairs this morning saying he'd seen the dinosaur on the landing and it was coming to get us all lol
I aint getting it at 38 Red lol and seeing as I had the snip 11 years ago there will be no young ministers giving sermons...
well Rev, i think you could be missing out, BUT then again well done for taking a sensible step rather than being a father who doesnt want to know x
I just dont get the whole kids thing. having a little version of me? can't think of anything worse lol.

Having to be constantly there for someone no thanks.

daddy daddy can I have some new shoes? No because daddy wants some more chrome for his scooter...
awww, but think of a little you sat on back of scooter with a little fishtail coat and a tiny p1ss pot helmet.

........................yeah now you mention it..................nothing worse
Hi Roomster, I love the name Keane, but hubby doesn't like it :-(

We have Theo for a boy, and Bella for a girl.
I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well.

Like reverandfunk I am not 'into babies'.

My brother has two young human children and is a great father. I have two cats that I love to bits. I am 44 and, hopefully, too old to get pregnant.

That is not to say I do not understand your joy and excitement over your new baby.

Best wishes.
I have the utmost respect for anyone who decides not to have kids because they are happy with the lifestyle they have..or because they simply don't want them!

Far better to be selfish without kids than selfish with them ;o)

My aunt is the same as you Rev...and I reckon if more people had that attitude the world might just be a better place.

Sorry to hijack the thread, roomster..CONGRATULATIONS!

I never did my boys nursery blue, mind you I didn't get to find out what he was until he was born as he was far too modest when I had my scans...lol. He had to put up with the Mothercare ABC range which was popular at the time. And great for either gender :o)

I never bothered with pink for my baby girls. I always picked neutral colours ~ although now they are grown it is another kettle of fish. Everything has to be pink because they choose it!
When I was pregant with my eldest I was working in a pub and before I knew ( I was about 6 weeks gone when this happened), a local gypsy help my hand whilst I gave his change and told me that I was "with child, you'll have a small boy with firey hair on a hot day", I laughed at him, then I found out I was pregnant and it was totally right.

I didnt find out at the scan though.
OH and many, many congratualtions.
Pippa I still havent forgiven you for mentioned the PVC nuns outfit lol

Red 200 scooterist against 200 poofy rockers I know who my money would be on lol

I just find the whole idea of kids frightening and personally speaking a bit pointless. mankind will go on without me banging one out and I would much rather spend my money on myself lol
