this list seems really comprehensive.
dont forget a list of all important phone numbers of family and friends as you may not be allowed to use your mobile.

and perhaps keep it light, but have an extra bag ready in car or at home should you need to stay in a few days. I didnt need half of my baby stuff as i was home same day
With my first i went for induction and was in 3 days before the birth so i have to send my best friend to get me more things. With my second i didnt need half as much as i was a quick rush there and back same day

I had bag packed for first with all things recommended by NCT .Sarnies ready in freezer. Pack of cards, books, taped music, natural sponge, icechips in thermos. ect ect. had breakfast at home lunch on ward after son born . Rations untouched !! Took own salt for sneaky salt bath as hosp don't like salt in their baths. Good luck ( ps. I loved having babies.... got a real buzz over labour) ( finally found something I could do without any effort !)
albequerty.........no need to worry....couldn't stand Midwifery or Obstetrics........all bleedin women and always in the middle of the night. Thank God for CSections.
Midwives were a bossy lot, a law unto themselves and usually unmarried or divorced (can well imagine why!!!)
Jack the Ripper was thought to be a London Hospital midwife...can quite believe it.
Good luck puma.

wear whatever you want to give birth in.
The hospital will not provide anything for you to wear.
take dark towels for afterwards. Oh and nappy bags come in handy for disposing of maternity pads, they are larger than the faffy paper bags in the loos. As for the maternity pads, i found cheap sainsburys ones were really good.
I had a great nightshirt when i had my lad, i wore it after, it had a pic of an orange on it and said "freshly squeezed" I felt it rather apt lol
