Hi, i have an 18 year old daughter i still pay child maintenance for as she is still in Full Time education, we are due to go on holiday next Thursday for just over 3 weeks, is it unreasonable for me to stop her payments as my daughter will be with me?

I'll be paying all her expenses whilst we're away so basically i'll be paying for her twice or is it more reasonable to pay a reduced sum for the 3 weeks she's with me.

I pay £65 a week, it's a mutual agreement and the CSA are not involved.
We hate the sight of each other so communication is a definite nono.

Many happy couples throw vodka, wine, beer down their necks.

Are you tee total?

You obviously have a problem reading the whole answer hmmmm, you read what you want a judge me yet again, it seems like you're tarring me with someone else's brush
You have a moral responsibility to pay that money to your ex.
As for your comment about drinking, sorry but you were happy for her to bring up your child so it could not have bothered you that much.
No, I've read it. I don't think it matters what money she uses for what things. I assume her maintenance goes into the bank so pretend it's used towards bills and she buys her vodka from her own money.

Touched a nerve with that bottle of Vodka, winky.
I'm with you. In fact, I don't see why you shouldn't claim £65 a week from your ex while you have custody of your daughter.
And I know Judge Judy would agree with me.
"I asked a simple question and all it required was simple answers, ..."

OK then:

"Do I Still Pay Maintenance To My Ex If My Daughter Is On Holiday With Me For 3 Weeks?"

Yes.

"..is it unreasonable for me to stop her payments as my daughter will be with me?"

Yes.
kval @ 00.20. Sorry I don't understand your first two sentences at all.
As to the rest, please refer to yogi's post at 18.52 page 1 and my comment @ 19.09 page 2 and you will see that I agree that the OP should continue with the payments. So what you have surmised I think, is not what I think at all.

Isla, you really are so ignorant, judgment yet again, for your information my ex wasn't much of a drinker when we seperated, please keep your childish comments yo yourself unless you know the facts
And you are rude but don't let that bother you!
Question Author
Thanks for all the comments, even the ones having a go, i wasn't expecting the battering i received, it's just a shame most of you assumed i had no intention of giving her anything, even more of a shame the 2nd paragraph was completely ignored, thanks

I'm really sorry you think i'm rude, and no, it doesn't bother me
If you had a CSA agreement it would not be reduced just because she is on holiday with you.
Cripes....are you still debating this, winky?

Yes, read your 2nd paragraph and, of course, you should pay for your daughter whilst on holiday ....that's what parent's do, isn't it?. My wife and I have four children, and whenever we go away with any of them, or all of them, we pay for more or less everything. They may treat us to a burger every now and then.

Now in regards to paying your 'mutual agreement responsibilities' whilst your daughter is away with you, I have said before, and repeat that, in my opinion, if I were you, I would leave it as it is, as you mentioned in your last paragraph and I quote:
"We hate the sight of each other so communication is a definite nono."

It will only make matters worse and who knows what else....is it worth it?

Do the right thing, winky......and enjoy your holiday with your daughter, when you go. ☺
