Dos anyone know where I can get this mail order please, my usual supplier doesn't seem to have any?
Just to be clear, I am not interested in alternates unless they are also a version of Canadian Club, or (and I mean this nicely) opinions on my taste in alcohol.

Many thanks

Spoke to lovely new partner who is young enough to be my son and looks young enough to be my great grandson. He was very good, talked to me like he thought I was sensible. Apparently a feature of the local cold virus is that it leaves people with inflamed airways. They are finding that a ventolin inhaler sorts it so that is what he has given me. If I don't see an improvement by tomorrow (!) I am to go back.
Very relieved, I did think I might be starting pneumonia and was worried about being whisked off to hospital...the mind always goes bonkers in the night doesn't it? Once I had seen the doc I told sis the full story....had only told her the cold was being slow to shift...she immediately said "are you alright alone? I can come tomorrow." she is a gem.
That's good .I was given a ventolin inhaler too .It's a horrible virus .Take care and keep warm x
Your doc sounds like a good one woofy, hope the inhaler works for you. Yes, you do worry in the dead of night...on more than one occasion I've dragged myself round the bedroom throwing some emergency items in a bag wondering if I should ring someone medico.
Lovely of your sis to offer to come...is she for hire? :)

Neti it's probably this site, I'm fed up of it freezing or crashing my puta and kindle. It is only AB doing it.
lol, I don't know what's slowing AB down but the prime suspect would be some of those spammers from the Med.

Glad to hear someone's trying to sort you out, woofy. I didn't have to go to hospital when I had pewmonia a few winters back, just stay home and throw antibiotics at it (it took more than 2 weeks but it worked). An inhaler did help with the breathing, though.
Spammers from the med indeed!!!

Glad you are getting sorted woofy, yes I was also out on one of those inhaler things a couple of years ago, haven't needed it since.

Apple and blackberry pie was lovely, but we had half each as he didn't think he could eat a whole one, when I said would you like to wait a while after main course he said "Lets get it over with" ??? WHAAT? He then quickly said to get out of the way so I could wash up and sit down -hmmmm!! I do think that is enough pies for the moment, although they are so quick to make and cook all through, look really professional too.
Over here if you are over 65 yrs and have that bad cough/ can't breathe thingy, they are supposed to hospitalise you, they didn't with me, only the local clinic on a oxygen machine for a few hours, of which I was glad. You must wrap the ole bod in red flannel, and keep yer kidneys warm too.
Hey look, I only said it once!!

well done Neti. Can i ask those of you who have used ventolin, how long did things take to improve with it and how much improvement did you see?
more or less instant; it opens up the airways somehow and breathing became much less wheezy. It didn't treat the chestiness as such, though, or abolish mucus, or stop coughing, just widened the highway between lungs and mouth.
More or less at once Woofy .Like Jno said .It doesn't shift the yukky phlegm though but does open up the airways .I was gasping for breath which is why the doctor came, me being an ancient biddy:)
I'm leaving the house tomorrow .My brother rang and asked if would like a trip to Lowestoft Morrisons and some lunch out .I nearly reached down the phone to bite his arm off ,I'm beginning to blend into the wallpaper .
Night all ...I hope you have a quieter night Woofy ,you too Robinia .Very windy here though ,rattling down the chimbleys .
