Pixi - the spicy veg pasties are very popular with my veggie friends, I get dried beans from the health food shop, but this means soaking and boiling hard for 10 mins if i use the likes of kidney beans, etc, so it's easy to use a can of three beans from the supermarket, chop and fry an onion and some mixed peppers, then to a couple of spoonsful of ketchup add chili, or tabasco/sweet chili sauce/ cumin, smoked paprika and salt, stir into bean mixture to coat and make up pasties.

Tiggerblue - I've never been to a kids party yet where they haven't been happy with chips, chicken nuggets, chipolata sausages and tomato sauce!! If you give them too much choice, everything only gets half eaten! Cut up a pizza too. Ice cream for pud, with a flake and sauce. Less bother for you, and the kids love it!
If you want a traditional party, I'll help you on here if you ask!
