Why do people go for fast food such as Macdonalds, Ketucky?

Why when there is other delicious, tasty, healthy alternatives in the same vicinity such as in shopping centres, do people insist on queueing for the usual rubbish? People are so stuck in their ways and won't try anything different.

Yes its lunch time now and I need some suggestions Dave50 ...... I've had a banana and some grapes for 11's; looking at a Boots meal deal for lunch.

Not just shopping outlets but the high street too that do jacket potatos, all types of sandwiches, noodle dishes, rice dishes, sushi, curry, chinese, thai, all manner of things but guess which ones are packed? Also the same people when taking their chidren out for a meal in a restaurant or a pub think that the only food the kids can have is chicken nuggets or fish fingers, all with chips of course.
