took sausages out freezer lastnight and put in fridge to thaw as my sis coming for tea. something has come up and i may have to do her tea on friday. will they be ok then?
because there are enough for three and only two of us tonight. plus a bit of a waste and expense to have them two nights. proper lincoln sausages off butcher
In the days before fridges and freezers my mum would buy fresh sausages from the butchers without preservatives therein.Several days later they would be taken off the cold slab in the larder and sniffef. If no strange smells emanated we ate them.If there was a hint of a strange smell, the, lucky dog.The dog and I survived.Just use your nose on the day.I would say they would be edible on Friday if left in fridge
If they were fresh when you froze them (which I assume they were) then I can't see how they could possibly 'go off' in two days once thawed (assuming your fridge is at about the usual 4ºC temperature).
