Glancing at the till receipt the other day I noticed they're more that £5 for a 400gm bag. Why so expensive?

Tesco's seem to be cheaper http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=256506618 and they're vegetarian.

Apparently there are both Costco and aldi in Belfast.

Thanks, Ethandron. That Aldi is fairly central and I never knew it was there.
It depends if I want to use them in cooking or eat as they are. I like the really soft squiggy ones not the ones with hard skin as I mostly eat them straight from the packet. Or cut them into pieces and drop into cooked porage. The softer ones are more expensive I think. Costco's are good with some soft and some hard but a brilliant price as per most of Costco stuff.
Holland and barratt had them recently for a good price.
They're £5 because M&S know that rich people, like SandyRoe, only read the price on the receipt after making their purchase, whereas the rest of check the price in advance!

Buenchico, now that you mention it, I don't think M&S display the prices of the food on the shelves.
You must live in very affluent area then, Sandy, because they most certainly display their food prices on shelves around here!
There's a problem with the harvest in Turkey which has hiked up the price. They lost virtually the whole crop
^ And now there's the first evidence of the real effect of IS........ Quick everyone off to Aldi ;-)
blueberries the other week were £2.99p in Morrisons.
In Aldi they were £1.30p.!!!
