I adore bread....white, wholemeal, granary, you name it...i love it. A huge plate of toast would be my last meal on death row.

But it's making me feel sluggish and tired. I'm trying to lose weight by doing alternate fasting days. At the moment, it's going well.

But i need something on my "eat anything" days. I usually throw some toast in or have a sarnie or egg or beans on toast.

Is there anything out there, not loaded with bad carbs that i can have for lunch etc.

Ta muchly

Tilly ...I can't imagine any crispbreads 10x nicer than Ryvita !

...where I can I buy some please ?
Any of the leading supermarkets, Mikey. Lidl don't sell them.
Here we go, from the website.

Introduced to the UK in the spring of 2002 Dr Karg Organic Crispbreads are now available nationwide from Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s Stores, Planet Organic, Whole Foods Market and leading independent retailers and food halls.
Re, jomlot's answer, don't fry with Olive oil, we use ton's of the stuff here in Spain,( I personaly produce/grow the equiv. of 100 ltrs a year) use it to heat food but don't raise it to frying temp, it'snot good to fry with it at high temp. Goggle if you don't believe me.
puzzled001...Why is it 'not good to fry with it at high temp'.

Google tells me "Myth number two: Frying temperatures will change olive oil from a ‘good oil’ to a ‘bad oil.’

Cooking fats and oils are considered dietary fats of which there are three types, saturated, trans and unsaturated. The first two are bad, but the third, unsaturated fat, includes olive oil, a healthy plant-derived dietary fat. The heat required to raise the temperature of olive oil high enough to fry food cannot change the chemical composition of olive oil from a good one to a bad one."
I have it on good authority that if they have no bread, then let them eat cake !
Are you sure it is the bread and not your present diet causing the sluggishness ?
