It seems to me, this is not a meat that is widely eaten cold, unlike beef, pork, chicken etc.
I just wondered if, leftover lamb can be can be used in other ways ?
What kind of parent does not teach their children that a yorky is a Yorkshire pudding? What kind of insanity is this? I demand it's introduced to the school curriculum STAT! ;)
Lay slices of leftover lamb in the bottom of a casserole dish. Lay a layer of sliced cooked leftover potatoes on top. Pour leftover gravy over the whole thing and cook it for 35 - 45 mins on a heat just above the middling heat for your oven.
My sons' favourite.
If I have a cold lamb sandwich, I like tomato sauce on it.Sharon, you can't be posh and call them Yorkshire puds! Surely you mean Yorkshire puddings? x
Of course, to prevent over-cooking the meat, cook the curry sauce first and add the meat a few minutes before serving so that it has just enough time to get hot enough to eat.
Ahem, being Yorkshire born and bred can I just point out that a yorkie is a Yorkshire pudding (as well as a chocolate bar.)
To me, a yorky is a small yappy dog
