maple syrup products

does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

right, I have applied for a ticket to a trade show, and have finished proofreading a novel for a friend of OH, rather grisly going and full of torture and murder in China. It doesn't even end, just stops, because he's planning a sequel, which may surprise readers. He'll need a publisher first.

And on that note, maybe I'll get some sleep.

pretty dark and damp here too, neti. We went to see our accountant and sign off our tax, then strolled through the ruins of BHS ... the crumbling statues overcome by creeping vines ... the fallen walls ... the ghosts of customers past ... actually it's got a smaller clothing shop in it now, I think it might be Polish, and there's some sort of food market going to open in another part. Then OH slipped and fell in the rain on Bond St, skinned a couple of knees (no, they weren't bare) so now we are home having a quiet time.

we had a dry chilly day here so I painted my old shed green to match the new one. Its a slop it on job but will do till next summer when I will give both a decent coat. Jno your OH seems to be constantly in the wars poor soul.

Have put fold up bed in Hija's room and Mr N will have her bed. Gosh looks so small hope I dont fall out!

the gardener has been and gone, having trimmed the yew hedge and dug out some particularly large weeds. We won't see him again till spring, as he doesn't get enough work in winter so goes to South Africa instead.

I have pottered here and there today and got a lot of tidying done. The house doesn't look any better but I know I did it.

Hello. Nice and chilly here. Even have duvets on bed and dont usually do that until 22 Nov!
Bedroom is coming on. I bought some curtains today for 30€ saves me sewing! Had nails done but dont like the orange colour but I chose it.
Found it very painful to walk to village today. Shins on both legs really hurt . Maybe the fold bed I'm sleeping in is damp but seems ok!

Oh woofy I didnt do any of it, he wont let a paintbrush or drill get anywhere near me!! I will do the decor. I need grey picture frames so will have to paint some when he goes back to work next week ! yippee!!!

my friend went to that (Chihuly) last year, she said it was amazing....probabaly not a great idea for OH though. I hope you get a dry evening, it looks like you should be lucky.
Neti we are dealing with the after effects of fools with fireworks here. Much better now I have got prescription meds from the vet but still not great night after night.

First fireworks of the autumn happened around 2 weeks ago. They will be on and off now until after New Year although we usually get a break for most of December. Then there will be 5 or 6 displays early Jan when the round the world cruise ships sail.

Woofy oh dear, that is a long time.
We drove to San An and then did a long long walk around the cliff path, forget we had to walk back again! Next time I'll wear comfy shoes! We stopped off for a lunch and then drive back. There is a huge black cloud hanging overhead!

the Chihuly exhibition was excellent and the weather was mild and sunny all day. OH managed okay, which just shows what you can do when you realy want to (now back to exhausted mode until transfusion day, which I think is Friday; I am going to Tutankhamun instead, which should be less stressful).

Yes, we are suddenly getting fireworks here too. There was such a lot in a short time tonight I suspect someone accidentally dropped a match into the box.
