am going to use one tonight for chicken, can I put the potatoes in with the chicken and will they brown, cos if I have to put them in seperately it's not worth using the bag!

Afternoon everybone. Well this has been my first night for several weeks with no crampy calves and feet - yup I've got'em too Lottie, forgot to say, yesterday. It's horribly painful isn't it and this bout has been worse than ever before. I too get it when I overdo things - which isn't saying a lot, in my case... But I invented some proactive exercises yesterday for stretching the muscles and it has helped. Or at least I didn't wake up screaming this morning. The exercises (invented by many people before me, I know) involve balancing on a doorstep supporting yourself only on the front part of your feet (between toes and arch) and raising and lowering yourself slowly. Very difficult for me as my bum muscles are extremely weak. Only wish I could think of some similar exercises for my belly where I've had an excruciating cramp since 1997. Probably to do with my poor back and herniated discs and slight scoliosis and no curvature whatsoever, I mean not even the one you're supposed to have. I'm sure it's not the belly as such but the muscles around the spine, desperately protecting me.
Yes Neti I've seen The Red Balloon ages ago at some obscure film club:) It must mean something that it keeps following you - now you figure out what it means! Must be good, a red balloon is very merry. Schhhh, I knew about the scent glands but I'm trying to get on Shaney's good side so she'll crochet this for me, I really really want it http://www.flickr.com...ngdaisies/4828629758/
"...but I can care about you which might help" - that's my religion too Jude. We're all God material, not as individuals but when we all connect. One day we will create God. Or, rather, constitute God.
Biddies I give you Ulrik Munther, 17 year old Swede. Remember where you first heard the name 12:45 Wed 16th Feb 2011

The Red Balloon is now pegged to my washing line, where it cannot do any damage! Things are getting very strange, whenever I click on a link the thing swedie wants from shaney I get yahoo mail, the one with the writing on the side, which won't open anyway. Oh dear, I blame that red ballonmit's cursing me!

Hi Everybiddy. Kit you had me worried there - I was wondering what the report meant. Will this do for you http://i56.tinypic.com/iyprw5.jpg I made it over 35 years ago and keep fetching it out to use now and again. I did it with all the spare wool I had so it took me a few years to complete.
Have been on a lovely walk with my sister today. My leg can't be that bad because it didn't really worry me much until after we had stopped for lunch and when I got up to walk the rest of the way home. We left at 11 this morning and I got in at 4. we stopped for and hour and a half for lunch and I had a lovely veggie moussaka with salad and garlic ciabatta (sp.)! crispy bread.
I have to admit I'm now aching again so I'm going to have a soak in a (rare for me) bath later. Serves me right I expect for walking too far.
The red balloon events sound good Neti. Has it burst yet?
When I home this afternoon I think my new neighbours werre measuring up for curtains etc. There was a people carrier in my space uuummmm! so I parked in front of there house as there wasn't anywhere else. I will have to train them. :o)

That's A-MA-ZING Jude, what a beautiful blanket or throw or whatchamacallit...! You should be really really proud. I'd love to do something like that but don't really enjoy crocheting even though I like what it looks like. Absolutely stunning, Jude. Liked the graffiti as well. /Report, report - what report?
Can you invent some exercises to make me feel 25 again please Kit?
Love the crochet blankets...the best I did was a lemon and white pram cover in the 70s and a few years go I started a throw made with squares in lovely autumn colours... I got as far as cushion cover size & lost interest :o)
I love how someon'e added 'cringie' to that grafitti Jude, haha

Had a lovely soak and am now waiting for the footie to come on. I'm in my jamas and dressing all snuggled up like a real old biddy. :o)
Me and sis laughed at the cringie comment too Robi.
We did notice though that there weren't any 4 letter words on that wall which made a change from the norm.
Thanks for the complements Kit. I loved doing crochet but haven't done any for a long time. I call it a blanket and it fits a double size bed but I used to use it as well on the lawn in the summer to sit on.
The report was at the end of your post which was too long it shows up here written in red and not in black, like normal, and when I clicked on it it took me to report a post thingy.
The footie is about to start so I'm going to say I hope you all have a good night.
See yer tomorrer begorrah!

Oh I see Jude. I've stopped noticing those report links. Like your snowdrop Robi, it's very "springy". How about some yoga to feel younger http://i55.tinypic.com/ae41m8.jpg
Have just roasted pots, onions, red and green pappers and garlic in olive oil and griddled lamb steaks, and eaten them with honey and mustard mayonnaise, was delicious. Popped outside to get the mop after cleaning the kitchen and lo and behold there was the Red Balloon waiting outside the door, so have brought it in and it is reposing in the dining room!
Have had a bath, am in pj's and in a nice clean bed watching last night's Eastenders. Isn't it illegal to have a gas water heater in a indoor room. Here they have to be outside or in an outside cupboard with air vents.

That's a lovely blankie Jude . Pram blankets are the only thing I've ever crocheted.
I've got a big bag of knitted squares upstairs though .I'm waiting for someone who has the patience to sew them together .
Every time I mention it to my sis in law she changes the conversation :) I think she's sick of the sight of 'em by now as we made such a lot for this charity thing .
Perhaps Jude and I can get together on one for for you KIt .Expect a visit from the postman in the year 2020 :=)
Nothing doing at Shaneys Shack .A friend came round this afto for a cuppa and a natter and tomorrow I'm going to inspect my brothers garden and drink his whisky .He's chopped down some old conifers that had seen better days .
Neil Oliver fix on teevee later .
Take care all .T.pip for now .
