am going to use one tonight for chicken, can I put the potatoes in with the chicken and will they brown, cos if I have to put them in seperately it's not worth using the bag!

I love these boathouses!

Hi peeps

I made two beautiful crochet blankets from Aran Wool about 18 years ago. Beautiful thick cream things.

When Meggi arrived at 4 months old she ate a hole in the middle of both of them :o(. Also made one (also like Jude about 30+ years ago). Again from scraps of wool. That is stored away in a pine chest (I think) I remember crocheting shawls in the hippy days of the late 60's and 70's. Seeing all you posts has made me think I might just start crocheting again. A crochety old biddie!!

Just called in to say goodnight. Am off to bed shortly.

Careful with that Whiskey tomorrow Shaney. Have one for me!! xx
I can only crochet dolls hair...but those blankets are lovely. At college I wove a cot blanket in white pale green and pale yellow. When my first great niece was born, I sent it to her. I was really please to have it used and worn out after all the years of storing it.
Good news at the docs today, not going to go into detail as it's hellishly technical. Apparently there is no rush to do anything until further prodding and blood tests. Future is still looking long.
I had mussels in vinegar and two large Canadian club whiskeys with ginger ale for tea. I used to have that at our local as a dizzy teenager, it's one of my comfort meals.....hope I can still digest it :-)

God morrow fair biddies. <<< does a curtsey and can't get up again !!!>>>

Crochet? I could never do it, the only time I tried, over here in 1971, the square came out cup shaped, so gave up, could have made two and used them as a bra. I can knit, but now my fingers are all sausage like and I find it hard, I can sew and make things to wear, but there again, fiddly hems are getting beyond me!!

Am off to get my new android phone in a short while yippee!!
good morning all plumber in and working and all hunky dory so far.

still waiting for phone, maybe tomorrow if the other company pass my number over!!
G'day all. More scratching furniture to be delivered tonight - I bought more than I could carry with me the other day. The cat is actually learning to use the tiny, lying-down one I took home the other day so that's good. I had to scratch it myself for several days before he caught on ha ha ha, what a sight I must have been, bending over double and scratching with my btm in the air. (<<see what I did there Jude, I said btm like what a proper lady would:) Many moons ago I took on a cat that had lived in a barn and she couldn't figure out how to use her litter box. I'm not saying any more than that;-)

Happy for your good news Woofy. My new motto is The future will be better tomorrow. Good innit? Apparently it's a Dan Quayle blooper but I think it's brilliant.

Uh-oh, Neti has taken up her crocheting again http://i52.tinypic.com/1zdx5hl.jpg
I can't remember whether I said how happy I was about Mr W's consultations. So excuse me if I am repeating myself.

Morning Nets and Swedie!! I should say good afternoon. How time flies!! xxx
Good a'noon...had me hair done at last! Shorter & darker blonde but I like it.

Well thank goodness for Kit's post which had me 'lol'ing...btm in the air, scratching a post...many MOONS later...litter tray...hahahaha...

I say thank goodness 'cos I've just been reading the drivel about him in cb...why did I bother?....I chomped my way through a big bag of chipsticks reading that...."Doesn't want to be popular...doesnt whinge when insulted...wants to put something back..."... Strike a light ( and worse phrases) what planet are they on? There's none so blind...<mumble>....
And I know all about good quality silky underwear thank you very much...

Oh dear I'm off again, haha...I want a hunky dory plumber please :o)
Hair sounds good Robi. How short is it? I am so pleased with mine now since I went to a new place.
Oh lordy .I think I'll keep out of it .Tempting though it is to have a pop.

Not up to him to judge what threads are on B&S .It's up to the Ed .If it had been one of his harem asking the Q he would have been all over them with sympathy .Because it was Boo he thought he had carte blanche to insult her .
I'm afraid someone who calls his children double u ankers , thinks naughty children deserve a damn good thrashing and disses his wife on a public site is way below my ankles.

I'm off to my brothers ...t.pip.
Like this Lottie, I lied about the dark blonde...

Oh am in agony! Was pulling up the weeds (1 metre high)from the little lane outside, and I stabbed something into my little finger and it bled, so I came home, and cleaned it, but it's all swollen and cannot move the knuckle. I am convinced I now have Aids, but haven't gone back to look for sharp object, as I am scared to find a hypo. Will see how it is tomorrow, but it's strange how much I can't do without the use of the little finger, ie open jars.
Pop down to the clinic Neti and let them look at it. Do you get many drug users down your lane?

Robi, I simply love the hair do!!

Hi Shaney.

I have had travellers/gypsies snooping around :o( . They knocked on my door and asked if I wanted the scrap in our garden (that 'scrap' being stainless steel chimney liner ready to install!!) You can't see in from the road so they have obviously been eyeing up the joint. Have informed the police and warned 2 of my three neighbours. Don't care if the other neighbour gets done over!!. Fortunately Meggi did a lot of angry barking and she has a loud bark which sounds like she is a much bigger dog. It has unnerved me though. He left with a 'God Bless You Lady'.

Our front farm type gates have now been firmly shut and Mr LL has been instructed to come home with a padlock!!
The doctor seems to be the subject of most CB threads today! 2 days he managed to stay away!!
I know...boring old Salad Bowl (the doc)
Its so great that having your hair done is so miraculous. I got mine cut yesterday and i feel like 17 again till I look in the mirror.
Kit that feline has you wrapped around his paw doesn't he?
Neti, I thought the same as Lottie, go and get checked....are you tetanus jabs up to date??
Plumber is lovely cheerful tidy man who likes our dogs.
Rab is still on no exercise so we went out shopping and came home past macdonalds again today...I have been sneaking less food into the bowls to compensate for less exercise and more treats and this morning Rab, who has lovely manners usually, woofed his bowl up and nicked half of Shughy"s...poor boy was so amazed (he is usually the family pig) that he let him do it.
.
The police turned up to see me. Very efficient!! They said dial 999 if anyone suspicious comes down our drive again!!!
Just remembered Woofy. I dreamt you came down to visit us with your dogs. I wasn't living in this house though. Both you and OH came and the dogs were absolutely huge and Meggie ran away into the garden from them. I was in bed and one of your dogs came and lay on top of me. All got rather muddled up in the dream.

I can't go to the clinic with a fat hot finger with a little hole in it!
Yes you can and you should. Something has made your finger big and fat. Not a normal reaction if you just prick your finger on a thorn or something. Get down there at once!!
