To be fair, however, you must face the fact that the confusion is caused by the many religions that muddy the clear waters of Bible teachings with fallacies and legends. When you ignore the traditions and myths and stick to what the Bible actually says, you discover a teaching that makes sense.

Hopefully more sense than your questions or Cut and Paste homilies........
Doubt many will find you tucked away in here, Goodlife - and just as well because you don't stick to what the bible actually says.
What confusion? You die - the end. Get over it.
Unless, of course, you have some evidence to the contrary.
Bible teachings aren't too different from those of other religions, though they don't offer 72 virgins under any circumstances.
Why take one myth over another ? No reason to prioritise the one you favour.

I suspect death is not the end of individual existence, but I've yet to give it a try to be sure.
Goody

Remember what it was like to be you before you were conceived ...

Yep. That's about it.
yes, but i don't understand the rest of your post.
find it quite funny this is in myths and legends, though perhaps that is about right.
Em, if he's sticking to what the bible actually says, the contradictions themselves preclude a sensible narrative so you can take it as read that his question makes no sense.
Brief answer, yes.

if there was more, my o/h would most definitely come back and tell me, he was like that, exacting and odd, but loveable
Goodlife doesn't believe in that form of afterlife, Em. He thinks the dead are dead until the end of the world (the advent of which he anticipates with great relish) when he and his buddies will inherit the earth and reside here in harmony for eternity..... or something like that.
I don't want to stick to what the Bible actually says, thank you.
Naomi, sounds positively hellish
that's interesting naomi

and such a satisfying scenario for those involved

where are they supposed to go while they are waiting?

is there a big freezer somewhere?
I believe there to be more, I don't believe in the bible or 'religion'

I think the bible was an early form of policing.

Yes
I believe there is more as well but not heaven or hell. Just something but I don't know what.
zeuhl, //where are they supposed to go while they are waiting? //

To the grave. They're dead and then they're resurrected.
re-enrobed in flesh, or not......?
