Locks For Writing Slopes?

I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

I have had an amusing day. Sis arrives later. So far i have had to completely disassemble the vaccuum cleaner and finf a pair of pliers to turn the sloww cooker down as the knob broke mid cook

Just cooked roast chicken breaststroke roast tatties. Mash peas and carrots and cauliflower cheese with gravy.as I decided we needed a wholesome plain meal.
The mini oven wouldn't get hot enough so in the end I had to put the tatties in the fryer and they were delicious. But what a mess the kitchen was. I used every pan in the house. I am a messy cook.

Now everything is washed and put away and floors mopped. Am bathed and in pj's in warm lounge as Mr N was sent to bedroom as he doesn't like the same to progs as me.

I'm fed up the tech side of this site, slow loading, closing down. There's obviously a problem. Tarquin tried to explain his theory but it all goes over my head.

Not quite as cold today, just dreary. At least I'm mobile, I felt like I'd been kicked yesterday and I've been having stomach cramps since my session ten days ago. It usually takes me two weeks to settle down.

Rain sun hot and cold that's the weather today but am indoors now and it is freezing. Got awful backache was wondering if it's to do with my kidneys?
Have made pot,chicken and peanut Thai curry, pad Thai and rice. One night of plain food is enough.

Dreary day ,pizzling with rain.Cold,damp and miserable.

Good morning. Brr chilly and I'm still in bed.
Yes good luck at the funeral today. I forget funerals over there take so long to happen. The burial is the next day here usually.
Am not rushing anyway am in bed with a cuppa. Although I do have to go to the Post office to post a packet to UK and I guess the place will be heaving.
Is it all xmassy there? Even though it is still early the council has already put the street light's up and one shop has a Xmas tree all done and flashing. I would love to be in UK. I do miss the hustle and bustle. And the Christmas feel.

Gosh been busy today. A friend phone to meet for coffee so I did. Wentnor the loo and an old man was there with his pants down (ladies loo) so I tole the owner and sat back outside. 20.mind later I went and it was disgusting, poo everywhere and an unflushed loo. I got the owner he cleaned it and mopped floor there was dirty loo paper everywhere. Then I was stopping people from using it until it was decent and then the old man came back and tried to pass me ooh !then he went to the gents and I got the owner again. Awful and this man wasn't even a customer.
Then at home I've been climbing into the tops of my huge cupboards to fine my warmer duvet. Then.put it on bed. Tidied hija's wardrobe for cat sitter to use. Washed some clothes for me to take. Washing machine flowed out from an outside drain so I've unblocked that
Then hoovered house. Then made cornish pasties. What a mess my kitchen was. Cleaned that.

Have a new pair of bootee slippers oh they are so warm. Makes all the difference. They are so comfy too, maybe I'll wear them outside. I always wondered as a kid, why old ladies wore their slippers in fhe street, now I know.

My friend has just told me the bootee slippers are from Sainsbury, they are incredibly comfy and soo soo warm!

Hiya Neti. I've just got round to catching up with all your posts. I know I've not been on lately. Just thinking about getting my days sorted for funeral and phone calls to Australia. Hope the funeral went ok Shaney. Mines next Wedneday. And my friend's husband was today in Os.
Have a lovely time with your sister again Woofy. Neti, your not the only messy cook on here . I use more pots than necessary and cutlery. Every time I need a spoon I get one out the drawer.
