Can someone tell me the official name of this type of bolt please, I'm sure it must have one.

Where have all the old fashioned hardware stores gone?...the nice man in a brown overall & a pencil behind his ear would know what I meant by 'twisty, bolty thingy' (even if it hadn't been invented).

Afternoon, biddies. Very gloomy here, the weather that is. Only a week ago it was still summer... I'm not sure which month you were here Neti but I too would have guessed August. I remember the weather was fabulous before and after your visit!

John Rendall, one of Christian the Lion's daddies, was one of the guests yesterday evening on a Swedish-Norwegian talk show. We've seen both daddies on YouTube before on similar shows, haven't we, but this was so nice I want to post it anyway so I'll be checking YouTube every day to see if anyone's provided it. My eldest sister had called me to tell me it was on, and afterwards I called her and both of us were crying :')

Jude, once they know that you are a member of the biddybank you won't stand a chance. I couldn't be bothered with little uns most need a clip round the ear if you ask me!! I had 6 years of teaching nursery/first grade and a couple more being foster mum and nanny, I've had it with 'em.

Hi Lottie it's windy here too blowing a real gale. We've had a drop of rain as well but the sun is shining again now.
About the job Kit I have to go to a training day this month and I wont be able to start until the Criminal Investigation is passed. When I said 'at least' I meant if the site was being crap at least you hadn't lost etc. It's the English in me I didn't mean you'd lost anything specific.
Hurray Derby won 3 - 0. An improvement on the last game when we lost 6 - 1.

I'm thinking you may be right Neti but I'lll give it a whirl. It's only an hour or so a week where I may have to help 3 or 4 kids individually in that time.

I like Marilyn too, Lottie. Isn't it amazing the way "new" photos still keep turning up - she must have had her picture taken a hundred thousand times. I like the one with the ballet skirt where she's sitting and her toes bend, and the one where she's sitting on the floor and she's pulled her sweater over her knees so she's completely inside it. And the late ones on the beach where she's wearing a woolly sweater with a Greek pattern I think. Or something. You know the one. Below photo was taken by a Swedish photographer

Yoohoo everyone . I see they seem to have tightened up the elastic bands .
Blowing a gale here and really wintery . I've had to dig out some warmer clothes . But we still haven't had any rain !
Talking of Marilyn Kit I went to an exhibition about her at County Hall in London with my old friend Jeannie a few years ago. Life of a Legend it was called . They had some of her dresses displayed .She was very tiny Whilst the exhibition was on some of her jewellry which was also on display was stolen .
Btw thanks for the info about that Local newspaper thing .I found the German one and Mr.S. likes reading it .

Otherwise, same old at Shaneytowers .Been pickling onions , freezing fruit for crumbles and cooking up the glut of tomatoes which my brother brings me on an almost daily basis for soups and sauces .
Hope you are all OK and that bad coughs and gippy tums are getting better . Take care all ,toodlepip for now .
