smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

hello Shaney, you just popped up!
Morning all...glorious here, sorry you don't have the sunshine shaney. I' should be loading up the old washtub, not messing about on here :o)

Sorry your friends are having a tough time Jude... at any given time (once you get to biddy age) I think we all know someone who's going through something difficult.

Oh dear woofy, you should have borrowed the old tin bath from the grotto, all three of you could have got in together :o)
shaney, I've had a look in my crystal ball and you'll be dry by lunchtime...hope your aches and pains ease, know how you feel :o(

I tell you what Robi, for two pins I would...actually considered taking the dogs into the bathroom with me tomorrow when Rab can do stairs but it would get a bit crowded with the door shut and Rab would wander off with it open...anyway we progress, tortoise is fed and I have actually tidied up although not hoovered.
The boys are being amazingly good, especially Shughy who must be getting bored.
Thank you Miss Meg :)
It's stopped now thank goodness and the sun is out again but it's not all that warm here .Too late to put my wishy washer on now .
I bet you'll be glad to have a proper wishy washy ,Woofy !
Afternoon biddies, I tried to post last night after the show, but fone was getting all confused so gave up.

Jude wanted to say hope it all works out for you x
Shaney I also wanted to say hope you feel better now.

Been shopping, nothing exciting, took computer to Curry's and they said it seemed Ok and showed me other things to do. When I asked how much, they said just donate, well I was flabbergasted, so gave £10 and the young lad returned £5 said too much! Then wanted to give me a receipt, I said I was not overly bothered anjd he should pocket it, then blew him a kiss and left, I am defo not normal!

Off to see "Joseph and the amazing etc" again at 5pm, then carbooting maybe manana, getting tired and poor.

Felt homesick yesterday and had a little weep, but chipper again today!! Spoke to Mr N who is battling banks, hotels and hija, Glad I am here!

Hopefully catch you all later but I still love and think of you even when I am busy carousing!!
Also I obviously wanted to say last night that I hope Rab settles and shugy and woofy get some much deserved rest ( oh and a shower!!)

Neti i am glad you are having such a good time. You have had a worrying year with your family and some joy time is a good thing. Its official, I stink.
Yoohoo Neti
Good to see you enjoying yourself .
I'm OK ..nothing that 800 mg and a large scotch won't cure :)
I just want some warm ,calm weather .Preferably from now until Christmas .
Well I've got the jeyes handy if you need a slosh woofy, I've scrubbed the drain, deep joy. Every teenager should have to to do the worlds stinkiest one as a 'life lesson' . Having pets is pretty much the same as having children, sometimes they have to go with you... or you lock 'em under the stairs :o)

All the flowers I had last week are rather more fragrant, in fact they're knocking me out with their scent, freesias, lilies, chrysanths all over the house. This is the same as the one Ozzy son sent and it really is as they show it to be...

Thats two days over now.....(well one and a half)
KBO Woofy ..it'll all come out in the wash :o)
Ooh I say ..just seen your bowkay Robinia ..how lovely .I love the smell of freesias.
quick question, biddy twitchers: is this some kind of thrush?

http://i45.tinypic.com/k53pk4.jpg

I haven't seen one before (our garden is severely underbirded, thanks to being near the big smoke and also to the sparrowhawk that used to live in the next street).
Looks very much like a thrush to me Jno.
I'm underbirded too these days thanks to Tinkerbell who lives in the house next door :)
