I have been doing battle with my saw and loppers on a Hawthorn tree! I am filthy - luverly!! It really is therapeutic sawing off branches. Think I have discovered my true vocation (a bit late in life).
It is now essential that I have a shower!!!

Hi again, I'm now getting back on track. Just got back from School having started listening to the children again. Some of them even remembered my name. amazing.as it's not an easily remembered one.I have 2 classes to listen to now so I have to share my time between to 2.
So pleased about DH Woofy. Hope you get him home tonight. And Shaney hope Mr S gets his operation date soon then you will feel that at last something is being done to help him.
Talking about hairy legs. The night before my birthday I couldn't sleep cos I was a bit concerned that things were going to go ok so I got up at 3.30 and shaved my legs. I'd been meaning to do for days but kept putting it off. Not that any body saw them as I wore trousers. :~)
It's a lovely afternoon here and hasn't been cold all day. Robi may think differently.
I had some lovely pressies for my birthday. My youngest son bought me a lovely flat screen telly for my bedroom to replace the little one he and his wife bought me years ago. His wife came in the morning (I hadn't seen her since she left) and she bought me a beautiful chain. It was quite sad seeing her again and I think she felt the same. I noticed she was wearing the ring I had had made for her last year. She said when I gave it to her she would always wear it because she liked it so much.
Going to eat up some of the leftovers from yesterday now.

yes, do you want a daily countdown, shaney, added to the shopping days to Christmas one? No, probably not.
Am just wallowing in what is very likely the last Pimm's of the season, with some nice Tyrrells Hand Cooked Potato Chips which were on bogof at Waitrose. Quite a nice day, really.
I forgot to mention but I went to London town last weekend (it was Open House Day) and by chance came upon a Japanese Festival in Spitalfields, which is where these photos come from. There were several drumming bands, including this one with kids. I'm not too sure what the guy in the blue suit is all about, though.
