I have been scrubbing my kitchen and have found that all my white goods are discolouring. Could anybody out there give me some advice as to how i might be able to clean this and, or stop it in the future. In addition, does anybody know what it could be? The articles are clean, but discoloured, which is shown by the insides being white and the outsides not being anymore so-to-speak.

I heard this may be caused by direct sunlight or being near a heat source (like the back of the fridge)

i've heard mention of borax to clean but can't remember if thats true.

(just thought, that stuff that whitens teeth may have some kind of similar effect...?)

I'ts usually sunlight, and I'm afraid nothing will bring them back. I shut all my blinds every morning during the summer before I go out.

Thank you for these answers. They are not what i want to hear, but at least i now know that i need to reduce the amount of sunlight i let into the kitchen. Its not too hard as it is an east facing room, so many thanks for taking the time to help me.
