my basic idea of dealing with any leather products is dry cleaning. (without water contacts, not even wet towel. but maybe just little wetty, would help a bit for dirty spots.) and prevent getting direct sun contacts.. for scratch, a manicure could cover it.

Try Lord Sheraton's Leather Balsam it's a leathe cream which will clean and soften the leather whilst also covering small scratches. It is available in supermarkets.
