also if it can be proven that you drove on a road before entering the property ie you were followed by the police or witness
ie private land isnt a sanctuary from the law
thanks for your answer . this question is often debated at my freinds chalet which is on private land (but is deemed as open to the public)
the question arose several years ago when my freinds daughter got stung with a wasp and he drove to the on site shop to fetch cream , no one was really in danger (they guy had eaten a good meal and had drank two cans of larger)
The law is driving a motor vehicle on a public road whilst over the prescribed limit. The highways agency can tell you if your 'area' is public highways or not.
