Anna is strong but it can be a bit of a curse. She has been very supportive but probably needs some support too as she has really been on her own knowing things are very difficult and no one seems to notice.
Carla can be very aggressive when she doesn't know what to do and Tyrone doesn't think. Roy hardly found it helpful as every second with Hayley mattered and he probably felt a bit robbed in such a private matter.
In real life would people like Tyrone and Karla feel they had the right to barge into someone's home like that? Their home seemed to be treated as an extension of the café. Still it was exceptionally well done, I did wonder where the stuff had come from. Roy's character annoyed me throughout this storyline when he was trying to talk her out of it, he seemed to be more concerned about the effect on him all the time rather than her release from pain. I'm sure to be in a majority of one thinking that.
Zebo, i think it would be natural for him to be concerned how he'd manage without her. I don't actually watch Corrie, but seen the posts about it. Did she do a morphine overdose or something?
Pixie, it wasn't specified but she had been hoarding her medication (she drank some yucky looking water, presumably meant to signify some sort of water & medicine mix).
The Carla barging in ruined the ending but even more annoying was Tyrone asking for the stuffed toy! What on earth possessed them to include such a trivial scene to such an emotional episode. As if Carla would have been banging at the door and even less like Anna letting her in. Why that addition was dine god knows. Would have been better for Carla to have knocked on on the Wednesday episode
I agree it was sad, but found the ending all rather rushed. I didn't like the bit with Carla rushing in either but she's always been headstrong. A very sensitive subject but I think the writers handled it reasonably well.
Didn't quite gel for me. I don't think the rational Hayley would have chosen to die at a time when the café was still open .I think that she would have been more likely to have picked a quiet time later in the evening. The episode was spoilt by Carla bursting in ..
I think that Carla bursting in is going to be part of the story yet to be seen.
As for Tyrone, his character is of a thick guy who dosent think before he acts.
Its a pity that they couldn't have got Becky to have made an appearance the past week, but she has moved on unfortunately.
I am glad the story line has been brought in to the show because Corrie is a well respected show and I think it deals with matters of sensitive subjects well normally.
I personally thought the end with Tyrone and the cuddly toy and Carla and Anna's part spoilt it.
My thoughts are with all Abbers who have lost loved ones.
Not sure how I felt about it to be honest...it was moving but I thought it was a strange time to chose with the cafe still being open and Anna being there.
I agree with trt about Carla....and neti, it's going to be very difficult for Roy to come to terms with Hayley's actions (but I think we knew that)
I hope that both David and Julie get awards for their moving and heartfelt portrayals in tonight's awards show, both well deserved. Won't half miss Hayley now, poor Roy. Agree with others on here that it's a pity Carla barged in like that, but that's Carla's character isn't it, feisty and pushy?
