One minute he was almost comatose and then when I thought he was going to be deep fried there he was stood outside - and Andy was out too after looking like he was stuck inside the ring of fire. Surely that would have been a bit more exciting if Kevin had been stuck in there and Tyrone or someone rescued him. What a waste of a story line.

Exactly what I was thinking. Not sure what the point was of having him in the car, drunk, when he wasn't going to be in any danger. Have to say I'm getting fed up with plot holes in TV programmes - don't get me started on that awful Sherlock finale......!
viewing figures are around 7.5 million for coro now, in the early days with cardboard sets and no silly story lines figures were 20 million plus
Another lack of continuity.Par fro the course in Coronation Street.
In those days there were 3 channels, no netflix, no dvd or video players and no internet.
You can't compare those viewing figures to today's
There seems to be two parts of the garage - the one that Kevin was in the car and the one that Andy set fire to. Which I never even realised till this episode. So don't see the point of Phelan putting Kevin into the car drunk then- makes no sense.
I was only half paying attention but thought Andy would have seen all that with Kev, Tyrone etc go on as he saw Tracey and whatisname. Two sections makes sense but then as you say, why put Kev in the car at all!
He wanted Kevin near the scene so that when the police know it is arson he will be the prime suspect - his money problems will be the motive.
I'd much rather watch Eastenders these days lankeela.
Phelan put Kev in the old garage to get the keys for the new garage...

very true at the same time every town city at least 2/3 cinemas in them even some villages too, millions went weekly to those,
I thought I had blinked as I thought Andy has had it, engulfed by flames, backed into a corner. Don't get me started on Kevin!!!!
I too was amazed to see Kev, sober and standing with the others watching the fire when we had just seen him legless in the car !! Still my favourite soap though.
Agree with all those comments. Fed up with the Phelan storyline
Yes, Kevin soon sobered up didn't he.
Ok I'm confused now. Phelan clearly wanted to frame Kevin for the fire but he didn't ask Andy to drop the keys did he?? He dropped them accidentally?
Maybe Phelan wanted Kevin to die in the fire or at least be seen coming out drunk from the burning garage. The Phelan thing has gone on too long now
Yes, Andy dropped the keys.
No Kevin was in the car in the lock up opposite. So would have never died in the fire. That's why I'm confused
Why hasn't Kevin questioned why he became legless on two pints?
