//What Do You Think About This?// I think I’m thoroughly sick and tired of the ‘Woke’ expecting the rest of us to capitulate to their wishes. If they don’t like our history and our traditions - tough. That’s what I think.

Is there any other nation that panders so pathetically to minorities? Britain merely rolls over to whatever they want, abandoning age old traditions for fear of being called racist, sexist, transphobic or whatever. And for that same reason, the majority can say very little by way of response. Utter madness. How would nations like China, India, Saudi Arabia react to comparative demands from minorities in their countries....I wonder
Nowhere in the link does it say that anyone from the BEEB has suggested dropping any of the tunes because of being 'woke'. There is mention of whether or not certain numbers would be able to be performed under Covid 19 restrictions, which is understandable. Obviously many of you have read the headline and jumped to your own conclusions. Which is just typical.
This traditional music should continue to be played, irrespective of whether there's an audience or not. I have often sat listening to an orchestra playing opera music and like most opera pieces, the tune of Land of hope and glory can stand alone and doesn't need singers or an audience present if the programme is being televised..
