What requirements will Channel 4 be looking for in their new host, do you think?

As a Countdown addict I still miss Richard Whitely. Not everyone's cup of tea I know but I enjoyed his humour.
I haven't liked the presenting of a couple who've done it since despite liking them otherwise.
I'm not keen on Nick Hewer but he's been okay.

As long as the programme continues and I can occasionally beat Dave at the numbers I'll be happy.... as long as it's not a comedian.
Or Naga Munchetty...
Gness, how about Stephen Fry?
I know that the next series, which has been recorded during the pandemic,is hosted by Colin Murray.Don’t know if I would like him as a host long term.
roy nous, common sense; practical intelligence, can;t be letting the side down. Nick was good at this.
show..
Ken answer may be the right one who knows
First to jump to my mind, Barsel...but I need to be able to concentrate.
I'd just be drooling and dribbling if Stephen Fry was presenting and Dave'd beat me every time..x

That may be an old story, Shoota. I think he's changed his mind about returning.
If was TGT the show would collapse in a couple of weeks There would never be a winner, they would all be wrong.
How about Diane Abbott?
:+))
Arrods!!!! Go away! The numbers game is my favourite. We'd not get past the first one if she was there! ;-)
she has a job, for now..
As said it looks just for pandemic.Nick can’t go on for ever just hope when they look for a new host they don’t ask Dreary O’Leary.
No grumps, G is right. He was going to come back but has recently changed his mind.
One of the few programs I like, I hope the new bod isn't somebody I can't watch.
I think Stephen Fry was mentioned last time the job came up. He’s got the nous, but I can’t imagine him being happy to sit quietly for many 30 second intervals.

They might be thinking it’s time for a woman. Sandi Toksvig?
JO I agree about stephen
