Those suggesting Fry and Elba must have an inflated idea of the Channel 4 budget! Oddly since OH died in March I don't watch Countdown, it was our lunchtime thing, Archers followed by Countdown! Oddly, I watch 8 out of 10 Cats do Countdown as he never liked it.
Please, please can we not have Tosvig or that Scottish woman who does The Boss, Susan somebody, also not Vernon Kaye. It needs to be someone with as dry a sense of humour as Nick.

Jimmy Carr would certainly bring down the number of viewers.

It needs to be somebody who isn't all over the place so we can enjoy the show for what it is and not as a front for a celebrity.
