Monk series 6 and 7 - or 7 and 8

A little while ago BBC2 and ITV began showing new series of Monk on the same weekend but while ITV has continued showing their series ( I don't know which one it is ) BBC have stopped showing theirs. I cannot find any ereason for this and am after some help. Thanks in advance for any info forthcoming.

BBC have the rights to show Seasons 1 to 6. I have no idea if they have completed Season 6 but the next scheduled ep. is not until 20th June and appears to be from an earlier season i.e. Bitty Schram is listed as a cast member and her only reappearance after leaving mid-Season 3 is one ep. of Season 8.

ITV bought the rights to Season 7 which they have been showing for the past 7 weeks but will be interrupted by coverage of the World Cup.

I can't offer more precise details because I drifted away from Monk during Season 4 and find it difficult keeping up with who (BBC, ITV, Hallmark, Quest - am I missing anyone?) is showing what and when.

Osprey - I am also a Monk fan - I completely lost track of when it was on Hallmark - so Mr. Den downloaded all the current series. It has come to an end now with no more being made and the very last episode tied up all the loose ends.

I have it on disk - I could mail it to you.

I love Monk and Sky+ it on Saturday on BBC2. Can't help with any future info though, sorry.

ABerrant - BBC2 have only showed a few episodes of the season you mention. It appears as though they started showing it and then decided to stop for reasons best known tt themselves and with utter disregard for their bosses i.e. us, the licence payers.

chrissa1 - how are you able to Sky+ it on Saturdays on BBC2 when it is on ITV? I am in Wales; is it still being shown in the rest of the country?

DEN53 - that is extremely kind of you and I would be delighted if you could do that. How do we go about doing so?
