I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

Daughter just treated me to brekkie at a posh cafe by the sea, Pan Boli (toasted french stick covered with tomato and oil and a touch of garlic), a lully cafe amb llett (floosch) and the bought me a mag, and some sweeties all with her birthday money! I no doubt will be repaying her very soon! It is apparentlyu a half- fiesta, most places closed at noon!

He he he! Actually jno sometimes I worry over what will happen with my English as I grow older, I already notice it's deteriorating faster than my native tongue is. But I'll just keep on coming by shall I and I'll sit in a corner and look as if I understood what's going on and you can all feed me carrot cake and halloumi nonetheless, right? (Though not on the same plate - yuk.)

Blancmange - now there's a Just William word. I vividly remember reading it over and over again as a child trying to make sense of it - I think I was too young to realise it was French. BTW we've provided a classic translation blooper related to Just William. 'Yes' in Swedish is 'ja' (pronounced yah), and the blooper is: Ja, läspade Violet (Yes, Violet lisped.) Get it, get it, get it?

Shaney I have called the postal service but they say that any tracking has to take place in the country of the sender. I'm so sorry. Knowing our postal service I'm convinced it's all their fault but there's no way I can help :'(

Ah...! I just went to run some cold water across my wrists and I noticed a big drop of water on the faucet had formed itself into a perfect heart...! I'd post a piccy, only the camera batteries take 15 hours to charge:-/

Vinny will you come back if I promise not to explode http://www.thelocal.se/25862/20100401/ (can't answer for Neti though;-)

Haha, yes, 'tis April fools day...The Queen was in Derby this morning at the cathedral (remember?) & then she was going on to officially open the new hospital. I've got an image of the nurses leaning on the wall outside, puffing on a roll-up & swigging red bull muttering 'Yeh, the Queen's coming....right...very funny".
Kit, the link I put in Post #400 was an April 1 special. So was the claim in one newspaper that the tube Circle Line is to be reconfigured as the Hadron Collider II.

Hello ther.e Just got in from the show it was called 42nd Street The production was brilliant. Dancing and costumes fantastic. The poor old sole sitting next to me had a coughing bout so I gave her my bottle of water which after she had drunk wiped the top with her hanky and wanted me to have it back. Bless her I told her tactfully that she could keep it.

Pleased yer plumbing's performing properly Shaney. How's that for alliteration. I think that's what it's called.

Looking forward to a warmer day tomorrow with luck.

Goodnight all X
