I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

Daughter's 24th birthday today, she's had all her birthday money upfront so only a few little gifts to open. Not the same when one gets older is it?
She was desperately looking for a mexican restaurant for us to go to tonight, but most of the place are closed til at least May, we'll find somewhere if there's food involved.
Hope Shaney, Robi, jude, woofy, jno and swedie are feeling better with the various ailments. Makes me feel quite healthy!

well, we're promised quite a lot of rain today to prepare us for the coming snow, so that will be nice, since you ask. But they've rowed back a bit on their earlier forecast so it might just be a flurry of snow at night (which I won't stay up for) and a realfeel of -4 rather than -9. So all in all we can definitely say that winter may be coming to an end. Perhaps.

Yes happy birthday Neti's daughter! Bet she spoke "backwards" (Spanish) from the day she was born? Referring back to what you said yesterday Neti I heard about an immigrant who began to dream in the new language but the dreams had subtitles in the old language, isn't that brilliant, I'm in awe of the brain.
Ha ha ha I adore your sister, jno! "I have NO INTENTION of working EVER", I can just see her. Did she use a looooong cigarette holder when young? (I did, BTW, but I hasten to add I was VERY young.)
Well what did I say about the Swedish Postal Services. They had sent my Grand Central Station poster back. And I've already payed for it (on AllPosters). After I slipped so badly and the streets were still so icey I called the post office *three times* to make sure they wouldn't send it back until April 1st, and each time they said they wouldn't. And then they did. They probably sent your tatting kit to AllPosters too, Shaney ;-) Actually don't worry yet, I may still receive a reminder on that one, even though I haven't actually received an original notification. It be that way, sometimes. Or they put it in a neighbour's box and the neighbour ponders the situation for two weeks before reading the envelope and putting it back in the right box.

At last the sun has come out after a really dull piddling morning .
No sign of the packet yet Kit ? I'm a bit worried that you won't get it ..I send things to Germany on a regular basis and they never take longer than a week and I've never had anything go missing .I hope it isn't lost never to be seen again.

Afternoon all and happy birthday Neti's Daughter. I wish I could speak Spanish I only had French at school but took Gcse in my 40's which I passed with flyiing colours I'm pleased to say but I've been to tmore Spanish speaking places than French.
It's really cold today and heating is back on since I got back from Tai Chi. We went for lunch to a Pub called The Wilmot in Borrowash. It has been refurbished and is run by a Landlord called Carlo. He is British. Lovely meal.
Had letter from EDF today and they have given me a web site where I can keep and eye on my energy usage so I'm off to have a gander at it.

Yes isn't the frog a darling <3 What really gets me is that he proceeds to shove the non-existent dragonfly in cos his mouth is so widely open it prevents him from seeing he missed it in the first place. Go for broke, that's my lad! I was gonna post a Parky vid but it had been removed, but I guess it's a British classic anyway and you've all seen it 4798 times on telly anyway. The guest was David Niven, telling a joke about a prawn...?
