I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

Your spider will get a break if it comes to Spain, 8 broken legs and a smashed body, no two ways about that!!!!
How strange to have a letter from the consultant, we only ever have phone calls, which is just as well seeing as we don't have addresses etc., and sometimes they don't even bother to call, we just turn up and hey presto, no one there!
Mr N is sorting out the cupboard under the sink tomorrow morning as I got out a bag of polyfilla and it had several seeds or pods on it, now they could be tomato seeds but can't see why or they could be insect pods or summat, so I daren't poke about. He's also going to undo the u-bend cos I don't think I unblocked it properly, it still works but slowly!
Never mind Neti I'm back on my eating and just think about the weight you wont put on.
I'm having saussage and mash and veg loverly.
Too late neti, he's packed his case & dusted off his passport..they're probably tree seeds that have blown in
....or spider eggs, <cackle>

I was wondering why poor Jude didn't initially get a phone call with the letter of confirmation following on.
(oh lordy, Jude's doing her caterpillar impression...better hid me bakewells)
Good on you jude, enjoy!!

Robi, soon there will be at least a couple of cucharachas winging their way to a certain house in Derby!!!
♫...La Cucaracha...La Cucaracha...doobe doobe doobe doo...♫

:o)
Will you all give over about food etc. I've had the most awful IBS attack and must have been in out of the small room dozens of times since about eight o clock last night and then I had to suffer Mr S. eating pickled herrings for breakfast .
I am never ever going to drink instant Horlicks again .
Good news for you though Jude .Eat drink and be merry .All I've had today so far is a dry ricecake and two Buscopan tablets :)
Oh poor shaney, I suppose I'll have to sacrifice myself on the altar of friendship and start eating for you too!

IBS is dreadful, I haven't suffered for years now, thank heavens, absolutely awful!
Jude do take it easy on the eating while the picolax is still hanging around won't you? That's grat news about the scan even though it could have arrived a bit earlier lol!!
Been getting the spare room ready for the tortoise today. She always wakes before its wquite warm enough outside so she has half of our spare room with a heatlamp. When the great house reorganise started, i threw (literally) stuff in there till not another thing would fit so most of it came oout today...have to say that most of it is in bin bags...can't think why I didn't chuck it at the time.

mmm cucarachas...when we were at sea, on some ships they were everywhere, you would open the tupperware containers in the fridge and they would walk out...cannot believe i used to knock them off the bread then toast it (bread not creepy crawly) I never dared look in the kitchens.
Shaney you have all my sympathy. I have had phases when I have lived on buscopan and sweet strong mint tea....happily in remission ATM
Sorry Shaney I didn't realise you had IBS so bad. Hope it clears up soon. The letter from the consultant was written on 8th, posted on 9th and delivered today. Never mind eh I am pleased he doesn't think at the moment that it is necessary. I knew I would be in all day so I left all me cleaning and bedchanging til today. I did the bed and vaccumed down stairs and then everything came to a stand still except me !!

I love rice cakes shaney. The trouble is I pile Flora on them so defeating the object. Mind you it is Flora Lite so that's not so bad.
It seems to have settled down a bit now although my stomach still feels crampy and rumbling like a train .I haven't had it as bad as this for a long time .It's my own fault .These milky drinks don't agree with me .
I'm cooking sausage and mash tonight with red cabbage but don't know if I can stomach it. Mr. S .will probably be eating it two days running at this rate :)
I bet you're pleased you didn't have to go through all that malarkey Jude apart from the dashing too and fro .My dashing is more like dot and carry one with this damn leg :)
Have a nice evening everyone xx
oh heck, no wonder the water pressure's down here...Slippery elm food for the pair of you... it's made with milk tho' but it's supposed to be digestible, well it works for me. I have colofac/mebeverine for pain. It isn't the malt that upsets you is it shaney?
its usually the lactose that does it
I must join Vinny in offering a warm welcome to all visitors from Scandinavia

Morning all - jno am back to the straight and narrow now! Thanx

Absolutely nothing nasty undert sink, so all cleared away and new pipes cos Mr N thinks it was easier to replace the u bend than clean it! Found so many half used bottle of cleaning stuff so binned them, recycled properly!

Hope Kit and shaney are feeling better.

Chilly here!
thank goodness, an upright woman at last.
lol, jno had I known how easy it is to be upright, would have changed my habits years ago!!!
