I'm a Swede living in Sweden but we do get to see a lot of your British drama series and shows, Parkinson being one of the popular ones over here as well. I was just wondering, how is he and has he been up to anything interesting after the final Parkinson show?

PS The dress exhibition sounds interesting! I didn't like her but as Eddie Izzard said: Hey, I was watching that!
Morning all - No I for one did not like Diana's wedding dress, and it was all crumpled!

Love those bottle tops jude, but over here we only have liquids in cartons, some of which have pouring devices and some which go all ovr the place!!

Sunnyish day, will venture out for a little trot later.
Morning folks...chilly wind up the back passage, all this talk of 'mild' is a load of shoemakers.
I want some tops for glass bottles, if you see any in our locale Jude please let me know.
Stockholm's looking a lot less white 'n snowy Kit, I hope you can get out soon. I've never bought food on the tinter yet but it's good to know I could if I needed to. I tend to shop ahead if you know what I mean so I can generally have enough to last me for probably a fortnight...apart from cakes(!) & fresh stuff of course but my milkman will bring a lot of things & there's usually a neighbour around who'll pick up odds & ends for me.
Diana's dress was of the time in style but oh so creased. When she stepped out of the carriage I gasped. I liked Sarah Ferguson's dress very much...not exactly a style icon before & afterwards though was she?

Great aunts? That always conjures up an image of tall austere laydeez wearing hats, heavy dark coats and smelling of mothballs and 4711....
....mmm, so that's about right then <ducks>..... heeeeeeee.... I'm only a very young auntie, nowt great about me :o)

Funny legs shaney? Behave you monkey ;o) But just in case the condition spreads I bought you a book

C'mon own up ,who put that QVC link up and forced to me to wade through thirty odd pages of earrings :)
Lovely day here but it's still a bit chilly .
That's a good gadget Jude.I buy milk in cartons though from Aldi as it's gluten free and then decant it into one of those glass fridge jugs .Scores on the doors 18.
I used to food shop on line when I was at work but only for bulk and non perishable stuff although I have shopped for my aunt this wnter on line for her groceries .Can't have her running out of Fairy Liquid and cream crackers .
These days I have a personal shopper .
Hope you are all fine and dandy and take care Kit if you do venture out to totter round Stockholm .
I'm off to investigate this book Robinia has bought me :)

Woohoo possums I'm alive, I survived my short walk to the doctor's. Normally it should be a three minute walk, took ten minutes now cos I went out of my way not to walk on ice. It's not a wax plug, we agreed it may be due to muscle tension building up as I can't lie down comfortably or sit in a comfortable chair - comfortably. She's hoping the noisiness will subside within a month. She suggested (jokingly) a helmet so I told her about the phrenology helmet ha ha. (She's funny.)

Now *this* is a wedding dress! The bride is Mette-Marit, who was a single mum, a former drug user/abuser and the leading lady of an 'interesting' home movie or two when she met the crown prince of Norway. She seems like a nice girl as far as I can tell (I'm not being sarcastic) and that dress is one of the purdiest wedding dresses I know https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isC2EIb2PT4
Mmmm - have just eaten 2 poached eggs on chs on tst - delicious. I used the egg pods from Lakeland and now that I have worked out the timing they are perfick!! except that they tasted of washing up liquid - must rinse things properly!!

In spring cleaning mode so am now washing curtains and cushion covers!!
Neti, how can washing up tasting eggs be delicious??? I wonder if its as effective as picolax????
Beautiful video, Kit, that lady just glows. I wish them both very happy. delighted that you got to the docs and safely back. If you have tight muscles in your head and neck try doing a lavender inhalation or just sniffing the oil, its a great relaxer.
We have been to southampton IKEA which (with very great respect) I hate and loathe as its so hard to get round and you have to trek miles. DH hates it worse than me which doesn't help :-)
Anyway we have got the fixings to organise the wardrobe so all is well etc etc.
Oh for a chance to loathe Ikea, never seen one or been in one.
Well they were perfectly cooked, and were delicious with just a hint of washing up liquid, I mean, I wasn't foaming at the mouth or anything! or maybe that's what the eggs taste of anyway - will get back to you on that one!
My name's Robi and I've never been to Ikea

Well done Sweedie! My doc is about 8 mins away on a good day with the wind behind me...thankfully we've no ice & I hope it stays that way now. That dress is beautiful.

oh crikey gadgeti strikes again...Egg pod? this is an egg pod to me........it's where my babies come from! :o)

Anyway I'm having a variation of those ingredients for my tea...cheese omelette & chunky oven chips. It has to be something easy, I had an hour in't garden and I'm boooooogered, it turned out to be a lovely afternoon & we made 11C yay!
Well done Kit pleased you got and back from the docs ok. Hope the ear gets better soon.
Lavender is lovely and soothing isn't it Woofy. Especially in a bath.

Don't talk to me about IKEA. Every time I go I swear I'll never go again and then either my sis or bro ask me to go with them and I do. Usually ending up buying something! But I don.t like the place. What does that say about me. I must be weak as water. And I've just signed up for a cheap years subs to Saga mag, That must say a lot more about me ha ha!

Been Tai Chi - ing today as usual then for meal with my friends. I had a cajun chicken wrap with tortilla chjps salad and garlic mayonaise dip. Really tasty but I felt so full that after we had eaten we all sat talking for about an hour. The management wondered when we were going as they kept looking at us and came and asked us if we wanted anything else. Anyway it was very enjoyable.

Off now so you all have a good night bye for now....xx
Ah yes Kit Mette Marit .I remember reading about her in one of the German magazines my ma in law used to send us .The Germans are obsessed with the crowned heads of Europe .Lovely dress ,plain and simple .Less is more as they say :) Glad you made to and from the doctors with no mishaps .
I had a pchd egg for dinner on smoked haddock but I haven't got a fancy pod thing .I just bung them in a pan of boiling water.I was going to do pea and ham soup but couldn't be fluffed to wait about we'll have that tomorrow .
As for Ikea Neti ,you haven't missed anything .I went once to the one in Croydon .Once was enough. .Awful place .
We get Saga mag Jude .I never read it ,Mr S does but I just do the crossword .They have a really good cryptic one .
Nowhere near 11C here Robinia .That east wind never lets up .I think we reached the dizzy heights of 6C today in spite of the bright sunshine .
Have a nice evening everyone .
I must find out what these poacher gadgets are if I don't get hung up in QVC where i've discovered that they have >>>>>>

What's wrong with you people, this isn't so difficult is it http://i43.tinypic.com/ajoton.jpg ...although I make the same never-again pledge as you do Jude - over and over again.

Thanks for the lavender oil tip Woofy, I'm not going out to buy it right now but I'll make a mental note of it. Used to always have a bottle around cos it's great for small burn injuries as well. When my mother was a child the maid would walk through the rooms, up the stairs and down the stairs, with burning lavender on the dustpan after cleaning the house, I love to think about that.

I was into making necklaces for a short while Robi, it was great fun but much more expensive than you'd think. Have you tried it in recent years? If you find a good supplier it needn't be expensive of course, and then you could sell on Etsy for instance. So many creative people on there making simple yet adorable things, look at these little speech bubbles for instance, they're so easy to make (I imagine) a child could do it but they're nice aren't they http://www.etsy.com/v...p?listing_id=21559510

Don't get me started on German magazines Shaney ha ha, I bet you must have seen our Queen Silvia ten thousand times by now, along with ten thousand Swedish elks, which the Germans seem equally as fascinated by...!
