"Surgeon proves that he is pompous tit" shocker?

LOL LOL
needs to go to anger management classes, doesn't surprise me though many are arrogant twits. I am assuming of course you are not referring to PM?
oh dear we did get out of bed the wrong side didn't we? - bet he's the life and soul of the Christmas party. Agree with your description sqad
The look on Cameron and Cleggs' faces !! ha ha
"I'm not having it..... Out..."

Typical orthopaedic consultant if you ask me!
He made me feel embarrassed for him sqad, although I am sure as he obviously thinks he is God he will not feel embarrassment for himself. Needs cutting down to size but who will do that, I do not know. Cameron was very calm, I thought, although I suppose that's what politicians do.
I always thing there`s something suspect about a man who wears a dickie bow tie during the day.

Just to redress the balance, the vast majority of Consultants are not pompous at all.

salla.........I see myself rather as an AB icon.;-)
The last consultant I saw (in the urology department) was lovely. He was down-to-earth and very reassuring. I came out of the consulting room, feeling much better, which I have always thought was the aim of the consultation. Thank goodness most are not like this man. I would have no trust in him at all.
My daughter sees a consultant immunologist, a Professor no less! He is an absolute sweetie. Wears cordroy trousers, tweed jackets, dickie bows and has the most enormous feet I've ever seen on a man. (although I suspect no woman has ever benefitted from that, if you know what I mean.)

I have to say I think sqad is right, most consultants are not pompous. But the ones who are, are very pompous indeed.

Generally speaking.........bow tie, pompous , mouthy, aggressive usually implies.....not on private practice, medical politician (sits on committees) and left wing.

In my experience.
