I am not a DM reader but saw this on the Mathew Wright programme when I came in from the Dentist
Were they right to go and tell the Cafe owner they would arrest him?

Say anything out of place and you run the risk of being stoned by rock cakes.

although I am kinda curious who it has offended?
a woman we are told so perhaps it is because of the Gay connotation in the passage..?
Then the Police did have to act because of Equality Laws
Must be boring I wouldn't choose to go there and showing a continual reel of biblical images etc you're bound to find something to offend someone. Coveting your neighbour's ass for one thing (is that the right quotation)?
Question Author
rofl...
as we know the Bible can be interpreted whichever way you want it to, it can often cause offence too
but to go into a Cafe to have that in your face...Oh Nooo
Bobbi, so by that token, when the video reaches the bit where the bible tells us we must to kill our disobedient children, should we expect the owner of the cafe to be cautioned for inciting others to commit murder?

It seems to me that everyone is offended by something these days, but most of us deal with it and get over it without causing a senseless fuss. This whole thing is a complete nonsense.
Gran, I confess, I've coveted my neighbour's ass. He's a pretty fit bloke!! :o)

Nah, only joking. :o)

Know what you mean Naomi but it is more the Equality Law the Police are involved for, as I said, I am not sure who or for what the lady stood for, who reported the owner
Bobbi, I don't see how the complaint related to Equality Laws. I understood it was claimed the video was 'homophobic'. Oh well, never mind. 'Whatever' as 'they' say. :o)
Question Author
and that would be seen as treating everyone as an equal Naomi,
as you say...never mind, quite complex I think :-)
Still don't see where 'inequality' comes into this, but if you say so. :o)
Question Author
too deep without the facts I think and at least to know who and why she was so offended ..:-)
I am wondering why she went in there in the first place. If I went into a place and I didn't like what was going on in there, I would just leave. Like what he does or not, I think calling the police in was a bit extreme.
Oneeyedvic

I would have thought entering a quote that concerned a sex act with a child much more disgusting and depraved than anything I said about the woman who had lost her child.

But then, without showing the circumstances to which I said those words, you chose instead to take them completely out of context, to somehow make an excuse for your disgusting post.
if you had the choice of the christian one in blackpool or the pink floyd in amsterdam which one would you go visit
