It certainly was not justice in my understanding of the term - he should have stood trial, with all the embarassment for Western leaders who have aided his regime when it suited them.
Any capture, other than by Nato troops, was going to result in Gaddafi's death. The rebels hate him with a passion that is frankly alien to the British psyche - he should be...
Haven t got a link I m afraid but its all at your fingertips. This internet thing has so much information but the aforementioned always struck me as strange. US secret agents on the scene within the hour in Scotland at night.
I m afraid I haven t got a link to the aforementioned but its all available in any search engine. If I remember right the son of the Head of the FBI changed his flight at the last minute too. But yeah US agents on the scene within the hour in Scotland in the middle of the night.
Why would US agents be in Scotland? The only thing that was wrong (in those days) was that passenger baggage wasn`t x rayed when it was transferred between airports. That was the downfall of Pan Am. (and the poor passengers on that aircraft)
Many high ranking US officials were booked on that Pan Am flight. All changed their flight plans late on? And I don t know why US agents were in Scotland that night. Answers on a postcard and address in to the Pentagon.
Oliver Revell was the head of the FBI at the time. His son chose to make a last minute cancellation for the ill fated flight. The flight was also suspected to be a one of the protected drug runs for the US sceret services. Just tap all this into Google. Its all out there people. I m not making it up.
For every B747 that flies there will be many people who change their plans. One or two might miss the flight due to traffic on a motorway, some will be in the airport bar, there might even be someone who has a medical emergency in the terminal. That happens every day (tell me about it)! but what happened with Lockerbie was nothing to do with the US security services.
I suppose we'll swap all the anti Gaddafi Libyans in London with the pro Gaddafi ones now leaderless and wanting asylum ..He ruled for 40 years so must have had a few mates.
The manner of his death shows the "New Libya" as barbaric as the old one under Gaddafi was portrayed to be...Murder is murder.
