Since the majority of the inhabitants of some areas of Bradford are Muslim, were not these leaflets simply an innocent way of trying to get the message over to them in particular?

/// A Labour council was at the centre of a race row last night ///

/// Bradford City Council was accused of inciting racial hatred ///

'A race row', 'Inciting racial hatred' ????????

Is there nothing now that doesn't?

This is a bit like the announcement they make regularly at the railway station "Cycling is not allowed on the platform" when patently, nobody is...
AOG. Are you not an incitement your self?
Anotheoldgit said to naomi,

“Why do some always revert to unnecessary insults and rudeness, when they are disagreeing?

How would you feel Naomi if someone said "That bright spark Naomi, who suggested that shouldn't be on AnswerBank, she's an idiot"?

Not very nice is it? Disagree by all means but please refrain from the expletives”

Yet the same anotheoldgit said to me,

“THECORBYLOON

If you are an example of present day thinking, perhaps it is not a disadvantage to belong to an age of a more respectful and intelligent way of thinking.

But having said that, I am sure you are not actually an example of present day thinking, you are just a sad one off I believe.”

Was that not rude and insulting?
THECORBYLOON, the silly thing is, I wasn't talking about him. He took offence because I said the idiot who designed the leaflets is ... well .... an idiot. I think it might be called taking offence by proxy ;o)
I've not seen "idiot" classed as an expletive before, mind you anotheoldgit thinks he has to make allowances for me so I'm obviously not as smart as he is.
No, I've never seen it categorised in such a way before either, but not to worry. I think we're all in the same boat. Derrrr..... ;o)
