Shouldn't all female Service personnel, be given a pregnancy test before leaving for an overseas posting, especially to a war zone?

/// hello everyone, I am new to the site, I am looking forward to being part of AnswerBank. dickythecook introduced me to this site. I feel that it would be beneficial for the women to be tested. ///

Hello anna-gram welcome aboard, and I hope you find AnswerBank both useful and informative.

But be aware if you ask a valid and sensible question on an item of news that is currently in the news, don't expect to receive many constructive and debatable answers.

If you are in to debates it is best to take part in radio phone-ins one gets to debate a point without the need for some to mock, insult, or hang a label on you.

But then I am right-wing, fascist, bigoted, racist, homophobic, sexiest. or so I am lead to believe so take me as you find me, but at least enjoy yourself, I know that I do even with all those labels hanging round my neck, which other would wish to hold me down, but they haven't got a chance.

Best of luck.
What a lovely welcome, AOG!!!!
<But then I am ... sexiest.>

Sqad

\\\\\I do think she should be able to refuse to take the test though.\\\

/// On what grounds? ///

On the grounds that she has joined the Military, and that she is no longer a civilian.

Unlike 'civi street' strict rules and discipline need to be maintained.
yes, the rest of us, anna-gram, are reasonably balanced, non-homophobic or racist, non-discriminatory, decent people; some are conservatives, some labour, others liberal and a smattering from the other parties, and a wide range of backrounds, all of us having, from time to time putting up with extreme factions be they politics, religious groups whatever, and having to take-in daft questions and views, by chance frequently based off the Daily Wail.

That aside, have fun, the site is informative, very helpful and considerate to those in trouble or grieving, mad, funny, and can be controversial. It is that mix of folk, AOG et al. included, that makes AB what it is.

Two weeks, ten questions on anything and we look forward to seeing your avatar! Well I think that those are the prerequisites.
AOG......I agree.

Sorry Sqad that should have been posted to the ABer who said she should have the choice to refuse.

Sorry again.

/// 2sp makes a very valid point....on having a standard test but the right to opt out for whatever reason. ///

Maybe they should also be given the choice of whether or not they wish to 'opt out' of deployment to a war zone?

/// <But then I am ... sexiest.> ///

Well spotted Zeuhl, as you know I regularly make that same mistake between the words 'sexiest' and 'sexist'.

If you insist.

/// AOG......I agree. ///

Thank you Sqad, I am pleased I am not all bad as DTcrosswordfan would have new members believe.

Perhaps the 'CROSSWORD' in his username is a big give away?
LOL jack - like they say - sex with a man is OK, but you can't beat the real thing!!!
Maybe the sprog'll join the Taliban when he grows up?
Females weren't created to be soldiers
Really, Joe? I'm sure there are quite a few countries that might disagree with that.

Boadicea? Jean d'Arc?

;-)
ummmm.....you mean the ones who use them as suicide bombers?

They're not soldiers
I mean a womans place is not on a battlefield
No, I don't mean suicide bombers.
"I mean a womans place is not on a battlefield"

Why not?
Bet they didn't drop a sprog in between confrontations though. Are we looking for a star in the east now?
