Really joe?
serving (male) soldiers take great pride in their ability to iron their uniform to the point its creases could be used as an offensive weapon
and in their ability to put together a meal
it's called self sufficiency
and is considered superior to relying on that transition from depending on mummy to depending on wifey

//I am pleased I am not all bad as DTcrosswordfan would have new members believe.
Perhaps the 'CROSSWORD' in his username is a big give away?//
I didn't say you were bad, AOG, just bigoted and past the due date when it comes to the role of women, when it comes to the forces, and the situation of this young woman, a woman who probably feels awful for what has happened re all the extra effort needed to get her and her baby out (as it is premature, I understand - so hence the specialist team on the way out. you would deny her that support?)
And for the record to anna and other new folk, the way AOG tries and turns to make a snide remark is typical, the sign of a weak mind. He started this personal attack before my remarks, a fine testament to the "man" he supposes to be.

From an actuarial perspective, Sqad, what are the chances on that - pretty low if you do the calculations - how many women have served in Afghanistan, and then Iraq as that must be a few thousand? then what is her working day on the gun also taking into account days off duty......so we are getting a small number already, bordering on the chance being "speculation" on your part.
