No Need To Have Made Arrest At School?
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ ...d-ma ncheste r-19681 382
The link may not mention it, but the Beeb news has reported that this 15 years old lad was actually arrested at school.
"..on suspicion of assisting an offender"
Perlease, lads! Even I would never have done that! I gather he has since been reeased on Bail. All his schoolmates now know his identity - and we all know what that can lead to?
The arrest: I've no doubt it was justified.
The timing: Abysmal? The place? Inappropriate, I'd say, unless there was real concern (tongue in cheek) that this kid would have absconded before he might have been nicked elsewhere?

These families and their associates (such as this 15 year old) are hard bastards. People are frightened of them. They run protection rackets and to them, intimidation thuggery and murder is what they do.
Do you really think this youth who has been helping a four times murder, is going to get bullied by police because he got pulled by the police?
This is a rough estate. If anything, this will be a badge of honour and he will be glorified by the other pupils (or they will more scared of him). He certainly won't be bullied.
Yes, it is appropriate that this lad was talked to asap. This is a fast moving investigation.

Gromit,
Please, you're far from the only one who knows what a 'rough estate' is like?
And believe what you wish, but I know that there was more than one similar type of estate where we were required to patrol in pairs - it's fairly unusual because of resources etc.
And, when I first was posted to that particular nick, the policy also dictated that female Officers weren't allowed to patrol those particular estates.
But I guess in your eyes - and others' - I'm just making all this up as I go along? I can't prove what I'm saying - obviously - any more than I could make you believe me.
But Manchester - sadly - isn't the only violent city in the UK - fact.

Oh dear Kero - are you so incensed with fanning the flames that you didn't see this?
