Will we see the Bulgarians and Romanians taking over from the Poles?

How will our schools cope let alone out benefits systems that will no doubt be milked.

Reading through this link I have come to the conclusion that some can call the British, lazy, benefit scroungers, work-shy, skivers, having a poor work ethic, unreliable, slap-happy with timekeeping, they'd rather sit on their arse and claim benefits!, and an idle race in general etc, etc,

But if a 'Brit' dares to call an ethnic minority likewise, all hell is let loose.
//a relative who works in construction, and has done since a young person now works with mostly Polish blokes, not because the employer thinks that they are better workers, but because they work for less, share accommodation, costs, and go back home when they have had their fill, which is what he said when i last visited.//

You should welcome that - afterall they are not being a burden on the state
thing is AOG, British make up is Asian British, Black British, white British, Irish, you name it, so who knows what or who they are referring to.
My posts are not anti-British. They are what I see as the truth. Should I say that we are a hardworking race in general when we are not!! There are lots I like about Britain and being british, and lots I feel sad about

bazile, no idea, but if they are on low incomes are they not entitled to some help?
Mostly I am sad about how many bigotted people there are out there!!!
what if they are not on the cards as well?
LL, just because some people don't think mass immigration is a good thing, why does that make them bigots. I wonder that the Spanish don't say the same about the millions of Britons who have settled in Spain, or in France for that matter.
This is ridiculous .We have always had immigration .It's nothing new .
Look at the amount of people in Scotland and Wales with Italian ancestry .
My own area has lots of Greek and Portuguese people .
People migrate all the time .All around the world .
What do you want .....a little self contained island in the North Sea inhabited by men in bowler hats and women in twin sets ?
The Empire and the British Bulldog died out years ago .
i never cared for empire or indeed any part of that ethos, i do however care about being called lazy, which is some people's opinions on some British people. Aren't there any lazy Irish, Scottish, Welsh who also live in other parts of Britain. i wonder if it's just the English that are considered to be so.

/// Nobody said we are 'all' lazy blighters. But we have unfortunately now got a lazy culture and unfortunately a lot of our kids are now in families that have never known a work culture. It will take a lot to achieve a work ethic based society. I keep saying it, but I firmly believe that the benefits system, which should be a safeguard, has developed into a way of life for a lot of people. ///

You have been the main instigator at slagging off your fellow 'BRITS', but who are these 'Brits' that you refer to?

We are such a diverse multi-racial country now, no one knows what to call themselves, so much so that some official forms need to list them all.

Who are you pointing the finger at?
I fervently believe our benefits system pulls in the crowds.

My main concern is for our grandchildren when GB becomes a third world with all the resources having been plundered.
pp, not long to wait then.
YMB, see what you started, where are you my friend, come back and join the fray....
just to add one last pennies worth, the reason many of my friends relatives can't get jobs, this is in a semi rural location, is because the employers have taken on the foreign workers because they can and do pay them less. they have gradually decreased wages and made it very difficult for the ones who had jobs before and were let go, to get re-employed. This includes working on the land, in agriculture, and in other related businesses, which makes the employer effectively putting the locals out of work and re employing cheaper workers. Perhaps it's just the nature of business, market forces, who knows.

When did Britain go wrong?

I do not know about the rest of Britain, some parts of the UK have hardly changed at all, and would be recognisable by long gone inhabitants if they were to come back.

I can go back before WW2 and I know exactly when England changed and it has increasingly continued to change beyond all recognition ever since, so much so that if my Grand Father were to come back, he would not recognise it as the England he knew and loved.
Well than you only have your capitalist friends to blame for that .
Funny Em I was about to ask that, where are you youngmafbog?

You are not one of these lazy Brits we hear so much about, you know those that expect others to do the work? :0)
I am pointing the finger at noone in particular AOG, just the way the society has become over here.

AOG. By Brits I mean Brits of all creeds and colours, not White Brits. And you seen to think that Brits means Whites. "We are such a diverse multi-racial country now, no one knows what to call themselves" You are British if you have achieved British Nationality surely.

You cannot point the finger at anybody in particular, but unfortunately we are seen as having a lazy culture when it comes to work these days. It wasn't always the case.

Why my posts should be seen as Anti British just because I can see faults with aspects of Britain and it's way of life is quite puzzling.

AOG you have said it all. You want a country just as it was before WW2 that your Grandfather would recognise. Well it ain't going to happen!!
Things change, some good, some bad. Some people don't change or refuse to see other's points of view.
Why do some people take it so personally when I say that Britain has a lazy work ethic. I have never seen so many bristles. It is true, we are not the hard workers we used to be. We have got used to a cushy cultures and a benefit system that has cushioned us as well. It was never going to last.
