how wise is Prince Harry to admit publicly that he's killed Taliban? surely he's now going to need extra security....at the tax payers expense of course

Ill advised though it may have been Sandy it is still no measure of his intelligence :)
// Not sure it should be something to gloat about though. Most ex-soldiers I know tend to quietly play down if they have killed people. //

Yes, and if you read the quote provded by zacs-master, that's exactly what he seems to be doing - quietly playing it down.

Naomi, no. The seminary offered few opportunities for folly.
Nice guy, fairly normal, but should have been advised to duck question re.killing Taliban.

I would have thought that the question was rhetiorical, him being in an attack helicopter
Not some thing to gloat about, taking another persons life.

However he is an outspoken n0bhead like his Grandfather, I do like him for that.
He didn't gloat.

sandyRoe, just like Mary Poppins .....
"Wearing a Nazi uniform and not giving a thought to the hurt that might cause to many of his grandmother's subjects is either 'dim' or arrogance writ large. "

shouldnt that have been in the jokes section
Seemed like a nice lad to me.
the question is moot anyway - his tour has now finished, and the interviews weren't broadcast till he came back
Of course there are Taliban in video games now.
Well I think he's a smashing lad, serving his country not just playing at solidiers, he's made a few mistakes, but that what I like about him, he's learned from them and he'll carry on. Good luck to him!
I would be inclined to encourage any serving personel to play down certain aspects of their jobs - I know that killing people is the remit of a professional soldier, but underlining it to the media helps no-one.
I still cannot believe that he would be put in the line of fire. A prince of the royal blood? A prospective heir to the throne? Sorry don't believe it. He was probably surrounded on all sides by poor little sods looking after him. Now their lives were in danger - yes I would believe that!
How many people do you think fit in an Apache helicopter, starbuck?
Takes after his dad,

whoever he is!
Nice but dim?.

Surely not how would anybody but our best and brightest get to occupy such an influential role?

Oh yes - right
Starbuckone - did you actually watch the interview? If you did then you would have seen him leave the interview in a hurry and run after his fellow soldiers to get off the ground - no on was looking after him!!
I just hope he remembered to put the right uniform on :-)
Nice, down to earth grounded bloke. I thought he came over very well and very normal in the interview, and certainly not in the least bit dim. Yes, he has done some silly things - haven't we all. And I firmly believe that he really is treated and treats himself too as one of the boys, and wouldn't welcome extra protection. He's his own man - good on him.
Andy-hughes, //I know that killing people is the remit of a professional soldier, but underlining it to the media helps no-one.//

I didn’t see that he was particularly underlining it to the media – and I don’t think it’s entirely accurate to say that killing people is the remit of a professional soldier.
