At last a sentence to fit the crime, he will be 75 years old before he is released.
Yesterday Tia's father said that, whatever jail sentence this monster received, he should be hanged at the end of it.
Does anyone agree?

I do wish, though, that he could have no privileges, because sometimes prison sounds like a bit of an easy ride, with daytime TV, getting all your meals cooked for you etc. He won't be in the general population, because they would rip him limb from limb. He'll be amongst other child rapists and killers. Not a problem for him I would think, and prison should be a problem, not a perk.
Don't think your ink, to execution costs in Caifornia, necessarily helps much, hc. Their cost includes the cost of incarcerating the prisoner for years, and the costs of the tortuous legal process for appeals there. We never had that. We had a minimum time between sentence and execution but that was only a few weeks. the condemned person had time for all appeals to be done; nearly always that meant to the Court Of Appeal only, since it was extremely rare for a case to have a point of law worthy of the House of Lords; then a short time for the Home Secretary to advise a reprieve. The result was that the prisoner was hanged within about 8 weeks at the most.
No andy-hughes, I'm not confusing civilised society with Utopia - Utopia doesn't exist.
I do though live in the real world whereby cuts are made to vital services year on year, where ordinary people suffer from cancer and other illnesses, where people are left homeless yet have to witness the most depraved members of 'society' commit horrendous acts.
Yet is justice served? Hardly, given that for their crime they'll receive the utmost care and protection whilst enjoying 3 square meals a day and enjoy watching TV for the rest of their natural lives.
The child they murdered and defiled will never more enjoy life, for them it's been snuffed out in utter depravity. The familiy in such circumstances also get to serve their own life sentence. Do Roy Whiting, Ian Huntley and countless other infamous child murderers/abusers/defilers really warrant such, at a cost of countless hundreds of thousands of pounds?
I for one don't want to see Hazell suffer. No torture, no slicing and dicing with a rusty tin can, no electrodes attached to the testicles, not even hanging.
Lethal injection would suffice and be far more 'civilised'.

"Oh dear Hang AOG from the nearest tree, he is guilty of not providing speech comers (inverted comers)".
Oh dear, The Git sets up yet another post about a controversial matter with a provocative last line then gets all passive aggressive when he doesn't like the responses. You'll never change will you. (rhetorical question - no need to reply!)
