These have been going on up and down the country this weekend despite various 'anti'facist' groups trying to stir things up. It seems to me that if you are against these tribute marches by the EDL then you must be in support of the murderers.

That is the daftest thing I've ever read on here!
We must be different here in York, we had a Gay Pride march instead...
Arrant and indefensible nonsense.........
I'm sure it does seem like that to you Dave!

/if you are against these tribute marches by the EDL then you must be in support of the murderers/

Yeah right .... (LOL)
Your enemy's enemy is not necessarily your friend.
Hitler fought communist Russia Dave

So do you support Nazis or Communists?
Perhaps anyone who criticises dave's OP is also 'in support of the murderers'? :-)
Not quite sure how you came to that conclusion.
I abhor what the two men did to Lee Rigby, I also detest the EDL.
"It seems to me that if you are against these tribute marches by the EDL then you must be in support of the murderers."

This is totally illogical and actually rather crass.
The EDL are shamelessly cashing in on this poor soldiers death. Help for Heroes have been supporting wounded soldiers since 2007, not jumping on the bandwagon to gain members.
which logic is that?
It seems to me that if you are against these tribute marches by the EDL then you must be in support of the murderers.

It may seem like that to you, but you're not right.

It's not a 'binary position'.

What you think is...silly.

That is a very mild word, sp.
ummm...all the best adjectives were already used!
"these tribute marches by the EDL"

You seem to be confusing the word "tribute" with the phrase "incitement to racial and religious hatred".
"Incitement to racist and religious hatred" But isn't that what these extreme muslim fanatics are doing ?
Then you would be very wrong.

There is no equivalence between being against tribute marches by the EDL and being in support of murderers.

The Army themselves , the Government and Lee Rigsbys family have all called for restraint in such marches and demonstrations. It would be far more fitting to honour their wishes....

Haven't 'Hope for heroes' refused to take any donations from the EDL?
It is not the fact that Lee Rigby has been murdered that has set the EDL in motion - it is simply the fact that he has been murdered by two men of questionable sanity under the guise of their interperetation of Islamic faith.

If the EDL was really so upset, it would march every time a British soldier died - but of course, it has to be on UK soil to fit the 'defence' bit of their ethos.

I have to concur with previous statements Dave - to assume that dismissal of the Self-Righteous Brothers' collective stomping around being more upset and outraged that anyone else (as they see it) as a support of the murderers is a piece of thinking so dangerously simplistic as to belong in a primary school.

Dave, try this - mice are grey, elephants are grey, therefore mice are elephants.

If that seems logical to you, then you have nothing to worry about - you have simply been born without a basic sense of logical thought process, which informs your post.

If however that seems like nonsense, the transpose the logic into your statement, and see it for the arrant nonsnse that it is.

Feel free to admit that you were momentarily affected by the heat - we are a very forgiving bunch on the AB.
