looking at the news reports its the tragic result of scores settled by means not aligned with British culture.
Born in Britain or not, life is cheap and 'face' or respect is valued more than human life within sub sections of the UK. These people are as immersed in British culture as your East end London expat in Marbella is immersed in Spanish culture.

How anybody can make cheap racial remarks about this tragedy is beyond me. A young mother and her three children appear to have been murdered. Its a terrible event that could have happened to anybody irrespective of race or religion. The ghastly Philpotts killed their own children but I don't remember anybody even mentioning that they were all white and British.

I was born here. I'm 47 years old.
Am I not British then?
Does all the money that I've paid in national insurance and taxes matter less than someone who can trace their genealogy back a few centuries?
Am I not British because I'm black?
Or is it something other than race that makes one British? I don't speak with a foreign accent. I wear western clothing, and my interests are very 'Britcentric'.
I'm extremely disappointed in you to be honest. I have always regarded your posts to be the more intelligent of the conservative thinkers on AB.
To use the hoary old cliché of the dog born in a manger is really thoroughly insulting to me. You are saying that I am not British.
I am.
Really very disappointed.

Your theory may have carried more weight, had this not been the year where Michael and Mairead Philpott killed their kids in a house fire, which they planned to blame on Mr Philpott's ex-girlfriend.
Also, it would have made more sense not to write something like that in the year that Melanie Smith in Prestatyn was convicted five people by setting light flat.
Five people...because she was annoyed at a pushchair left in a hallway.
So...before you and others immediately jump on the culture aspect of this (even though this is just a theory at the moment), perhaps it's wise to take time out to establish whether what you're writing has a basis in fact?

But aren't race and culture synonymous when talking about honour killing?
And revenge has nothing to do with culture or race. We see revenge attacks in every race, in every city and in every country.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves.
A revenge attack is one theory...it hasn't been proven yet.
