Debated below I think, but no I dont think so.

It will ensure children get at least one healthy meal a day and with no social stigma.

It also appears that in trials children have acheved more, so maybe more benefits than just meets the eye.

///It will ensure children get at least one healthy meal a day ///

. Surely that is Parental responsibility not Taxpayers?
I think it's a good idea. Hungry children can't concentrate.
so in theory parents who may well be very '' well off'' need not pay for their childrens lunch,,,,,,ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!

anne: what's ridiculous about the rest of us paying for other peoples' childrens' lunches? Oh, wait a minute....you may have a point!
music thread is ^^^^^ :)
When I was at school I can remember maggie thatcher taking away our milk to save the tax payers some money

If I wasn't there for the conception,
I object to paying for their lunches later on!!
I would rather be burdened with a cost that ensures children are fed properly with a warm and balanced meal every day, whilst developing important meal skills and inter-actions than being burdened with prison costs and benefit frauders!!
I would prefer it if people paid for their own children's food and didn't burden the rest of us.

You can't pick and choose ^^^^ we're already paying for those,
I'm objecting to a fresh demand on me as a taxpayer
Some people, working people, are poor.
we should definately show them all the beauty they posess insid trigger..

Then if they can't afford to feed their kids they shouldn't have any!
Perhaps "poverty" should be factored into the decision to breed?
So you expect everyone who has children to remain in the same circumstances they were in when they had them?

What does a women (or man) do when their spouse walks out taking their income with them?
"Some people, working people, are poor."

Are these kids not provided school meals anyway?

I know plenty of people who won't let their kids have school lunches - knowing how crap the food is.

Mr Oliver will be offended Ed! ^^^
