..in the Daily Mail today? I mean nothing worthy, as important enough to be on AB . All I could find was something about a man who had served his sentence, had been retained in custody as an 'illegal' , and who hadn't been deported yet. That had some potential. Have I missed something?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today named Prince George's godparents as: Oliver Baker, their university friend; Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Prince William's trusted private secretary; Julia Samuel, old friend of Diana, Princess of Wales; William's first cousin Zara Tindall; Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster's son; Emilia...

What! No chavvy familys claiming millions in benefits? No spurious stories loosely connected to racism? No Broken Britain stories?
slow news today generally.
Fred, time to find a different or another news source.

I subscribe to a couple of blogs that report on media and tv, and one of them has pointed out something very odd that's happened to the Daily Mail.

Something has disappeared - it went two weeks ago, without warning, and it hasn't reappeared.

See if you can spot it. Go to the main sight and have a look!

Well, the DM says the illegal is black and a violent scourge of Croydon, a gang man or gang leader, carries knives, and two African countries have refused to accept him as one of their own, so it has some potential on here.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today named Prince George's godparents as: Oliver Baker, their university friend; Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Prince William's trusted private secretary; Julia Samuel, old friend of Diana, Princess of Wales; William's first cousin Zara Tindall; Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster's son; Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Kate's old schoolfriend; and William van Cutsem, William's old family friend.
Question Author
Ah, Maggie, that must be the scrounger story. How did I miss it? And van Cutsem sounds foreign. Could be another illegal immigrant with a family.
Question Author
sp1814, more clues to the disappearing article are needed. Did the DM's lawyers miss a libel? Did the story turn out to involve the DM ? Can't believe the DM found out that the story had no factual foundation; it hasn't stopped them on other days !

No...it's not a disappearing article.

It's a whole disappearing section of the online paper.

And it's a section that every newspaper has!
Question Author
I give up. The Mail even has a science section listed in its heading. That must be worth reading, if only to discover that drinking tap water may give you cancer, say experts!
Question Author
Not that this is on topic or in any way related, but where is AOG today? Hope he is all right.
Since FredPuli43 seems to be shying away from this story, I will provide the Daly Mail link for all those wondering what the hell he is going on about, and why he seems reluctant to enter a thread on the matter instead of nervously referring to it.

Could it be he is scared of being classed a 'racist'?

Ah, talk of the AOG and he appears ! How are you AOG ? Well, I hope.

No I didn't post the link because I thought that was your job, and you'd seen it and rejected it. Must keep up certain standards, one of which is to see racism when there isn't any.
Question Author
Sorry, trigger, but that doesn't pass any test for being on here. It's got none of the essential elements: no serious crime, no sentences for "What was the judge thinking?", no postmen scared of spiders etc, no Muslims or blacks,no benefit scroungers, no "You DM readers are paying for it", in short, nothing.
well, I must thank the Mail for introducing me to the term belfie. Mind you, it was only a few weeks ago that I first heard "selfie".
/// "You DM readers are paying for it" ///

No get it right, where benefit scroungers and unlimited immigration is concerned, "WE ARE ALL PAYING FOR IT".
