Well this just about takes the biscuit, why isn't there certain qualifications a person should reach before being accepted in certain positions in the police service?

Don't know where the rest of that post went. I was going to say I wonder if they do them in Pink.

And I honestly thought Joe Luke was joking, couldn't be serious surely?

have you never seen his other posts, they are very similar in vein
so that would make them 'in vain'
probably, i was momentarily distracted
by this bonfire of inanities.

//as per my link// . . . . not really, but it's good to show the difference,
You show the standard weapon, mine shows the modified with new grips, quite a difference!
no by suggesting that women do get discriminated against, and perhaps this was a way of shoving her out.
apologies Balders, i don't know much about guns - i would like to learn, they might come in handy when the next war starts, provided they don't mind olduns firing off a blunderbuss.

"Again I will ask, does anyone know if they all have their own gun or share a pool of guns"

Don't know. But if it were the case that all firearms were kept in a common pool to be issued on an "as need" basis, I am pretty sure that would have been raised as a point in defence against the claim. The fact that it was not suggests that the firearms issue system is more personal than that.
police officer so perhaps they have their own, i can't so far find the relevant info.

@ Chewn - Its a point, but in the absence of confirmation a speculative one at best. And I would re-iterate; If handguns were kept in a common pool to be issued on an ad-hoc, as need basis, then the authorities defending against the claim would surely have used that fact as a defence against the claim.

The fact that they did not suggests another system of issue/storage is in place.

It might also be that, since she was assigned to a specific unit, they might indeed have had personal issue guns/ storage lockers.
